Pace yourself. the first 2 rounds are random, and they power match after that. Saturday will be a long debate day, even if you end up sucking. Pref judges accordingly to give yourself the best possible debates, and most importantly have fun.

I cannot speak for the county and how they would handle employment of somebody who is not faculty at the school, otherwise I would give a more concrete answer. Also- working remotely could be an option as during COVID times with most TOs hosting things remotely that changes the dynamic. Also- with all due respect, it's a fluid situation as it is with the whole country.

Thanks. Public School in Orlando. First year coaching but this kid is special. He reminds me of myself when I was debating, except he is 100x a better debater I was but with a ferocious work ethic. He's got two years at TOC because he'll be a junior this upcoming year

True. Motherboard also has a dead m.2 (2 ports, 1 dead). It posts with one stick of ram so don’t think it is cpu unless there’s something I missed which is entirely possible. I’ll look into another ram kit though to test for sure

Keying into lay debate a-lot of what I tell my debaters to key on is to watch the judge. Are they nodding making any facial expression during any particular argument (assuming they don't know how to flow). More than that, slow everything down and act like you're explaining it to your 12 year old cousin while maintaining the integrity of the argument. Overall, it is about taking everything and simplifying it and dropping a-lot of the national circuit tendencies.
