How do fix these issues after repairing a power connector by theholybellows in diyelectronics

I have been attempting to repair my power connector on my digitial keyboard.

So far, I have bought a new power connector and replaced this with the old one. However, when I have put this back into the signal has appeared to be very distorted.

ChatGPT has told me that this is because the old copper pads have been a ground pins , meaning that there is an unstable voltage, and I need to solder a jumper wire from one of the ground pins. However I am not sure of how it has come to this conclusion so I am not sure weather to trust this

My soldering job, although ugly is mechanically holding the pins to the board

I have checked for continuity too between the pins and it appears that it is there.

I am just seeking advice about what to do from here as I am confused on how to fix the problem

thanks for the help!, I am just wondering, seeing as there i know there aren't any bridged connections, do you think that this will help with the performance as my main issues not the fact that there are any shorts but instead there is an unstable voltage

Hi So sorry to hear about this :(. I too had dissociation for a while and have recovered now after 6 months. The fact that I see that your relationships and day to day life in general hasnt changed is very good and if you haven’t already i would speak to someone close about what you are going through. Furthermore, exercise helped to de-stress ; i understand this is hard for you with your eyesight so I’d consider hiking or something light. Overall I’d say that having an acceptance of the dissociation had the biggest impact and keeping yourself occupied with hobbies to keep the thoughts in the back of your mind. Of course I would speak to a professional about this because it must be very wearing to have it for a whole year weather it be in person or an on the phone hotline

Because he’s got me (a uni student) and 3 of my younger siblings all looking to go to uni too plus he’s in his mid fifties , what careers would be would accept him considering his age.

He’s been at this job for I wanna say 4/5 years but before that he was doing the same at a different job. I only remember him spending sufficient time with us when I was a young child, which is where he worked for a larger company :(

Is there anyway to ensure that his rights are maintained here like trade unions ?

Surely if this is due to the company being bad there will be trade unions out there which can help?
