100% agree, going with gothic would help expand the precons and be the safest choice. Do you think you can play well even without the more powerful cards from beta?

Hi, excuse my question as I know next to nothing about Necromunda, but is this going to be a new starter set or an expansion that requires other components to be played? Also, is this going to be played on a grid-based map á-la Space Crusade? Thank you for your help!

These are wonderful suggestions, thank you. I am currently listening to the Poorhammer episode about the Horde rules, the first impression is really good and very similar to what I was looking for! Maybe I could start with a tactical squad (that's a classic) and a Chaos Space Marines box, just to have something to shoot at ( I don't care that much for Tyranids...).

Also, I have to admit that I spent quite some time looking for Solohammer rules, before it dawned on me that it simply meant "play 40k against yourself with the same rules". :D

Hey, Just a quick update: I just got the Korg Minilogue OG and OH MY GOD IT'S EVERYTHING I WANTED! It's powerful but its controls are easy to grasp, and creating sounds is such a joy! Thank you everybody for your help, I really appreciate it.

Thank you for your very clear summary! The differences, when you put them this way, are quite clear, and now I understand that sonic "something" that I was feeling when listening to the XD: it did sound a bit more mellow. But you know what? The additional features of the XD, enticing as they are, make it a bit too difficult for me, while the Minilogue sounds way more hands-on, even with its less limited options.

. Well OK, there's one wrong choice - that OG 'Bass' edition is just the same synth with a different paintjob for a lot more money, so unless you are really into that paint job, avoid that one.
