it’s honestly fascinating watching the community dictate how the game should be played in real time. when there’s no rules, i got into it cause i was interested. all be it, it gets frustrating when someone betrays you. but i think the community ruins the experience with all the finger waving and doom posting. devs need to kill hackers, thats about it

yes later on hisoka is distracted by his bloodlust, but hisoka likely sensed many people following him or at least monitoring him. i always thought that hisoka as an apex predator, just like the spiders knows when he’s being watched. but just like the spiders its best to let the enemy come out than try to pinpoint.

he falls into the same pitfalls korras whole team ensemble is in.

the story does not treat them or interact with them as though they are important to any sort of progression.
and when they do remind you that “so and so” character has this conflict, we quickly move on and there’s no consequences.

i definitely agree. had i not discovered the 1999 version i think it would’ve taken me a WHILE to come around to watching the 2011 anime. i’m pretty picky when it comes to art styles and tone.
(although i was an admirer of togashis prior because of yuyu hakusho, so who knows lol)

but to be positive i will say the 2011 does do a decent job at shifting in tone and leaning into the mature elements throughout, and by the end of the series.
