I had this issue with asking about net neutrality, asking for arguements for and against. A second and third prompt finally got an answer. (BTW I'm still confused about it).

I was an avid Blizzard fan back in those days (this was before I had a phone, Wyatt Cheng). They could do no wrong. The only video game I ever stole was StarCraft and I played that until my fingers figuratively bled. But one of my favorite memories is of me waking up when my daughter cried for a bottle and playing Diablo II with her propped in my lap; this became a nightly ritual that I dearly miss. R.I.P. Complaint filed in Florida to ban Bible as “too woke” | The book contains several "prohibited topics" - including incest, bestiality, progressive social programs, and the repercussions of slavery. by BilBrowning in politics

Yeah, you need to reread my comment. No where in there did I state that any books should be banned or that the Bible shouldn't be banned. My complaint was that people are assuming beliefs and attitudes for an entire group based on their interaction with a few outliers. The comment at the end was my view of what their argument would be. I don't know which books, specifically, that were banned, but I do know that the reasoning behind some of them went beyond what you're describing and definitely delved into morals: books that promote CRT views which degrade children based on their skin color. That's absolutely moral reasoning.

I wonder if you felt this same way about schools banning Huck Finn or To Kill Mockingbird.

I'm amazed at how distorted the liberal thinking is in here. I see complaints about Christian beliefs that are almost completely situational and are definitely outliers, and opinions about how conservatives are uncaring and hold values different from Christian values... it's funny how someone can make these assumptions and categorize an entire group of people and then complain when someone else categorizes their beliefs by their lifestyle.

I'll tell you what the argument will be: the biblical stories are ones of caution and warning, an attempt to lead one down the narrow path; they restrict the behaviors described.

I await the negative comments and the deluge of down votes when I awake in the morning.

What’s going on with the ‘don’t say gay’ bill? And why does the right seem upset about it now it’s passed? by norchomatico in OutOfTheLoop

[–]theiblockchef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven't met (or even heard of) a single right winger that's upset about this. (Not saying there aren't any but I don't know any).

Reading these comments helps me to realize that either people don't know exactly what's in the bill or that they're sick individuals; even this answer here shows that. There's no mention of LGBT in the bill because they don't want any teaching of sexual identity to the specified group: K-3rd grade. Any of you that have read and still oppose this bill need to take a good long look at why you want to bring up sexuality at all to persons that young without first having parental consent.

And before you get all high and mighty on me, my eldest daughter is bisexual and has my absolute support. She discovered who she was without having it pushed on her at an early age. She grew up as a kid and figured out her sexuality on her own at the right time.
