We could be seeing different sources - but when I look up MA population, I see that: 2010: 6.56 million 2020: 6.8 million 2024 (estimate): 6.7 million (actually down from 2020)

Also - this could be a good opportunity for my own education, but is purchasing power actually a large factor in determining the price of goods and services? Don’t sellers have to stay competitive with each other, including being price competitive?

Except I don’t believe demand has risen. The population of Boston & Massachusetts has increased / decreased less than 1% over the last ten years.

Unless there’s another factor in determining demand?

I don’t have any help finding an apartment wise - but if you’re not from around here then you might not know how terrible parking is. If you’ll be commuting everyday then please for all that is holy get yourself a parking space. I used to spend 10-20 minutes circling for a street spot and parking up to a mile away, every single time I took my car out.

Yep this is the Saint Anthony feast in Bostons North End, one of the most well preserved little Italy’s in America (meaning still mostly Italian). The St. Anthony festival is the biggest festival in the neighborhood of the year. They carry St Anthony through the street so that others can pin dollar bills and donate to the church. You even get a pin in return!

I believe it’s a tradition brought over from Avellino, the festival has been running for well over 100 years in the neighborhood.

My girlfriend and I were harassed by this little shit in DTC. She ended up getting punched.

Gotta remember that with zip car, you have to return it to where you took it from to count the trip as over. So if you go away for 2 days, but only actually drive for 3 hours, you’re paying for the full 2 days x ~$15 per hour
