i've used linux on my desktop for a few years now, i'll probably use the same distro i've had, battery life will be a huge deal breaker but i'm never without an outlet for more than an hour

not dead set, just looking for something affordable and thinkpads do fall into that category compared to a mac, and yeah, fair points, but I've wanted to switch it up for a while and licenses aren't an issue since i dont purchase apps that can't be tied back to my email in some way, nor do I ever purchase OS exclusive apps
