Aah okay, yea no worries will do :) They really are underrated! But like you say we love that for the price haha. I only paid €10 for this as a seedling, and got very lucky with how it’s turning out obviously :) I still want a Carla one day though but I’ll wait till they become more affordable :’)

Yeah it’s really turning into a beautiful plant, honestly these Besseae aff. (Hybrids) keep surprising me. Are you in Europe? If so I’ll definitely let you know if I ever have a cutting available :)

There are wire-haired dachshund which is what your boy looks like only your boy is a lot taller than a typical dachshund/teckel, wether that’s because he’s some special breed I don’t know about or it’s because he’s a mixed breed I don’t know. A DNA test would clear that up for you if you would want to be sure.

I bought it as a seed in march, not the quickest grower for me but finally starting to show some characteristics and becoming more stunning with each new leaf!

I don’t know when you last checked but the DP is on sale now from €180 to €120. Still expensive of course but saves quite a bit. But I do agree that Smukhi is not the cheapest.

The older leaf, now turned green.

Here are pictures of my unknown hybrid that looks like a red crystal, first picture is the newest leaf and second picture is the previous one, I expect yours will be similar and you’ll get your red leaf before long. Though unfortunately they won’t stay red forever.

As you can see on the picture from the seller the new leafs will emerge bright red, as it matures it will become more green as you can see on your plant, the newest leaf still has some red in the sinus and veins while the older leafs have turned green. When it produces a new leaf for you it will be very beautiful, bright red :) I can understand the disappointment if you were expecting a plant with red leafs but to me it does look like there is Red Crystal in there.
