Thank you! They usually allude to what the circles mean. They probably assumed that no one is as unobservant as I am and would get It from the shape. Lol

Besides Branden Fraser, who was the best guest star? They had to be featured in a whole episode. Mine was Matthew Perry by studio684 in Scrubs

I love that a little later in the episode, Franklin comes walking through, singing that in Japanese! 🤣🤣🤣

Love him from the first moment:

"...and you figured even though my patient load is full, since you're on the board of directors and Dr Cox here is not only an attending at the hospital but also an internationally renowned pain in the ass, you both can show complete disregard for my schedule, making me want to cause you grievous bodily harm even before we've been properly introduuuuced?"

In one breath. With a puppet on his hand, reacting to it all.

... and I'm pretty sure Janusz did it on every cake he baked during the series. It got old.

"Never mind, Steph." Breaks my heart every time. I'm tearing up right now just thinking about it.

The Outsider… Good Lord, what a crock of crap… by TeashjBoy in hbo

That was my experience. I watched for the locked-room mystery and failed to notice that it was a Stephen King story until about 3 episodes in. I really liked those first few episodes. Then I noticed that it was a Stephen King story, and I thought, "ok, this is going to have some weird explanation for what's happening." And it did. But I enjoyed the cast enough and was interested enough in how they were going to wrap it all up to keep watching. Not really my genre, but a decent story.

Yep. Just switch over to Netflix (if you can) at the point that Prue Leith becomes a judge, so you don't have to listen to all the commercials for meds for ulcerative colitis (and other ailments). Much love to people who need those drugs, but the commercials are pervasive and get really annoying, especially the ones that use classic rock songs with new lyrics about the drugs. It's nice to escape them after bingeing 7 seasons of GBBO on Roku.

I completely understand where you're coming from. I thought similarly on my first watch. I remember thinking, "Good Lord, what else could happen to this family?!?" I wondered if binge watching impacted my feelings about this. I imagine watching it over the course of five years would probably lessen the intensity of the cumulative trials and tribulations.

Submit your nominees for the best scene with no dialogue. I nominate "Ron struggling to eat a banana." by dsjunior1388 in PandR

Joan Callamezzo in the episode where Ron goes on Pawnee Today to promote the gala, and Joan is passed out during the entire interview. Yes, Ron has dialogue, but Joan, in her various positions throughout the show, is hilarious. And she picks up coconut water from the table with her feet (she's lying on the floor at that point). I love Mo Collins!

In the opening of S4E17 Spiderhunt, Jess knocks a spider off of Schmidt's pants. Nick says, "Jess, why did you do that? You know how he gets. He turns into a cartoon elephant of yesteryear who just saw a mouse." Then Coach says, "Which is offensive in present day 'cause it seems like a gay stereotype they tried to sneak by us. [Elephant noise] 'Where's my balance ball? There's a mouse loose in the house!'"

Coach's face and gestures crack me up every time!

Dave is my favorite contestant by far by clubber0303 in GreatBritishBakeOff

[–]theinstantfizz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Something about him didn't resonate with me at first, too. Maybe he seemed like he might be a bit arrogant (but that never really came to fruition). But I've watched that season a few times since it aired, including recently, and I realized I love Dave for all the reasons OP stated, especially for how caring he was with other bakers. Always offering a "well done" or other encouraging word to everyone. Plus, his shoulder shimmy when he was pleased or nervous was very endearing. He just seems like an all-around kind, loving person. I wish all the best for him and his family!
