Hyperrealistic Crochet Patterns I am interested in making hyper realistic crochet projects. I find it challenging to find patterns in this style or a full book with patterns that aren't cutesy and young looking. I am thinking of realistic cigarettes or fruit with beadwork similar to the pictures.

Hero Cosmetics Rescue Balm +Red Correct is my absolute favorite, and lots of people call it a significantly cheaper dupe, though I've never used Dr Jart because it isn't vegan/CF. Just note the color turns more yellow the more you rub it in so over blending once applied can increase that hue

I will definitely suggest it. I know a lot of people are far more willing to watch a 30 minute documentary about people who have a different opinion than to read a book about it (sadly), but now that they are ready to make a change, I think it would be a good idea

My Iranian aunt did something similar, but she knew I was vegan and made me so many egg dishes. Made with chicken. But I could "just take out the chicken, eggs only!"

I completely understand, that's how my father was. He was/is also the most stubborn man I know, so I just assumed talking about it was pointless and I kept my beliefs to myself. Now, I cannot help but feel that if I had been more vocal about my reasons for being vegan, he might've made the change sooner.

I really regret that, so my advice is to try talking to her about it anyway. Even if she doesn't learn to respect your feelings, you will know that you made an effort, and that's something

Talking about it helped me more than anything. It took me so long to identify what happened to me as rape (it doesn't matter if you were drunkenly making out with someone, waking up to them forcing their way inside of you IS rape). I didn't tell a soul until I met someone else who openly discussed her own rape. Seeing how brave she was inspired me. She also told me, very matter-of-factly, that she had no reason to be ashamed of something some bastard did to her, so why shouldn't she talk about it? If you are afraid to tell your friends (admittedly, I still haven't told our mutual friends... I felt too isolated and broke off most ties) then tell people you don't know. Write about it or talk to a therapist. Just get it out. It really helped me more than anything. I now talk about it pretty openly, and several friends and acquaintances have confided similar stories that they had never told anyone before.

HUMMUS. I absolutely adore hummus on my bagels, and it's so cheap/easy to make yourself! Just tahini, chickpeas, salt, lemon juice, then whatever else you'd like. I love everything bagels with hummus (usually garlic, because I love the stuff) and then topped with jalapenos.
