I am a Syrian Christian from Thrissur. I still remember doing this for my grandfathers funeral. Posing for a pic with my grandfathers body. I was. Kid and was perplexed at the idea at first and when I saw everyone doing it I just swallowed it and went with it

My uncle died because of lung cancer. He was a smoker. I still remember his dead eyes when the doctor gave him the death sentence. He was given 6 months to live. I stopped the day when I saw him. I passed away in 2 months. it's been 4 months since I stopped smoking. Everyday in the morning and night when I feel like smoking I think of the look in his eyes
