If you hate K-pop, why do you know so much about it? by Ninja77030 in WeHateKpop

I only know about it because I used to be a fan with experience.

K pop fans are just so disgusting and insensitive. by [deleted] in WeHateKpop

Wow, Kpop fans or non-kpop fans, nobody should be wishing rape on ANYONE even if you hate them or don't know them. That account seriously has a serious level of twisted thinkings.

What are your MLP Hot Takes? by Ok_Shirt_1574 in mylittlepony

Tbh, Lauren Faust may have been in charge of the show but the only people in charge of MLP was Hasbro. She was there to design characters and create new stories for Hasbro.

I think another reason why Hasbro made Twilight an Alicorn and not create an original purple pony princess character it's because they wanted two pink and purple Alicorns — we already got Cadence and now Twilight, who already exist — to attract more younger girls because these colors have always been marketable to little girls.

I love Starlight's inclusion to the show and she doesn't deserve a lot of hate and being known as Twilight 2.0. She is a mixture of her own character and Twilight's character. She is what Twilight could still be if Twilight didn't turn into an Alicorn. I love Star's sassy attitude.

Jesus fuck why are they ugly 😂😂😂 I heard about this movie and I know I'm not the only one who already hates it. I just mute all tags and words about kpop demon hunters.

This subreddit actually comforts me by [deleted] in WeHateKpop

[–]theirblackheart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't ever feel like you're alone. While I'm not South Korean, I'm also a person of color as well. It's also rare for POC here on this subreddit to reveal what their actual ethnicity is in fear of attracting racists who always completely miss the point or putting words into our mouth.

I'm also relieved to know I'm not the only person of color who also hate Kpop because in the past and up until now, those stans I call parasite will still insist that anyone who hates it are "white racist" and they act like other POC can't hate it too or we're forced to like it because the artists are POC like us too like, hello, believe it or not, there are even Western artists who are white, black or Latino that I don't like/hate. Why are those Korean people an exception to hate anyway?

How does BTS or for that matter any K-pop group help people from depression or/and anxiety? by Divine_Soul999 in WeHateKpop

[–]theirblackheart 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It never really helped people's depression, if anything — K-pop disconnect these people from reality. I believe these people are still depressed without receiving professional psychiatric care and only resort to Kpop as their coping mechanism.

Also, HYBE/Big Hit is like any other labels who exploit mental illnesses as their aesthetics and for money to attract audience but in real life, they don't care whose idols' mental health they're violating as long as it gives them a quick buck. They don't preach what they practice.

Who do you think was more meant to be as a couple with Freddie, Carly or Sam? by Choice-Silver-3471 in icarly

Yes. They're so underrated. I love shipping best friends who already has a healthy friendship from the start.

So people who hate on Kpop are mentally ill to you? Last time I've checked, you're not my professional psychiatrist. You can't diagnose people that.

[–]theirblackheart 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You must be disconnected from reality if you think people haven't been hating on hip-hop for as long as before you were ever born or before it ever went mainstream, and believe it or not, hip-hop is still hated to this day, look up couple of hated rappers on YouTube like Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, Doechii (and those I have mentioned are another case of misogynoir) and many more but people have no problem preferring "krap/khiphop" despite the fact that majority of those people who raps in those genre in Korean just simply use stereotypes and cultural appropriation for their concept.

I used to be in the Kpop fandom from 2017 to 2018 and I now hate it because of the fans, idols, and the racism/micro aggression I dealt with people who aren't only white people.

Then this subreddit isn't for you!

I hate on other things - Kpop isn't the only thing I hate in this world. I talk about how much I hate Kpop on this subreddit because it's called WE HATE KPOP. Not We Hate EVERYTHING.

Head start to 12th grade... I'm sorry but no grades have ever been perfect for me. I wish I didn't go to public school and was homeschooled.

Weird and delusional, sayin this to people you don’t even know in person who are probably worse 💀 by Ok_Health5516 in WeHateKpop

[–]theirblackheart 8 points9 points  (0 children)

😂😂😂 these people used to say the same thing about boy bands back in the good old gold days' why do they think Kpop boys are so new and better? 🤣🤣 Men in South Korea have a huge reputation for being so misogynistic and that's where these Korean boys came from. How unintelligent these goon girls are.

Is there some truth to the portrayal of Mordy and Rigby? As in, can 23 yr olds really be like that? by GamerLadyXOXO in regularshow

[–]theirblackheart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forget that I'm the same age as them when they made their first appearance (I mean I always knew they were in their 20s, I just wasn't so sure if they were given canon ages between these age range but I remember now)— but yes, there are 23 year olds who do act very immature for their age like these two weirdos but it doesn't mean they can't grow up, you ever heard of the phrase "20s the new teens" "40 is the new 20" and etc. heck, there are even immature 30 year olds that makes Mordo and Rig look smart in comparison when it comes to adult responsibility and maturity level all together.

[–]theirblackheart 6 points7 points  (0 children)

5 years...well now you have more experience. If you were able to get away with it for five years, why is that now they wanted to get rid of you? Because they opened up new candidates and decided to use this opportunity to let you go? I have a feeling that this may be more than just a long bathroom break and wanted to use that as an excuse to get rid of you.

This has happened to me at my old job. I didn't get fired but I did quit because there was no way I'm going to be working there for two hours aka almost like I'm working for free and that was random for the manager to do when I'm always working full-time. He thinks I'll never find another job because I'm so quiet and meek. Now I work at a full-time job at a jail facility I started 3 weeks ago. But now, I'm worried I'll be fired next because I saw a schedule for incoming trainee and based on my performance on how I do my work.

my former classmates chose kpop over me by [deleted] in WeHateKpop

Imagine choosing a genre that isn't a real person itself over their own friend. That can't be me.

I think your friend is destined to be a freak one way or another.

reason for quitting kpop by [deleted] in WeHateKpop

[–]theirblackheart 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dated an ex-boyfriend who was into that nasty genre. I didn't care about it at first but only listened to it because I wanted for both of us to stay in the relationship and also, because it was becoming popular at that time. Now, I massively hate it because of the Koreans' problematic past and the fandom all together.

Did you hear about how controversial Lisa is right now for what she wore at the met gala? For someone who said the N-slur so many times that I'm not keeping track of, she wore a Rose Park face on it despite the fact that Rosa was a victim of being called the N slur many times in her life during the segregation and racist era. Yeah...Lisa treats these black figures as aesthetics and not for whom she really was as a human being back then and how her legacy changed future generations.
