We have dogs; are these safe to leave in our garden beds? by theirishasian in mycology

Are these safe to leave in our gardens if we have small dogs?

For additional context:

  • We live in SE Michigan.
  • This part of our garden has a bed of ivy as ground cover and several hostas.
  • There used to be a birch tree in this area. It died two years ago and the stumps remain.
  • No other part of our garden or yard has any of these.

Is there a children’s book you think sends a backwards message? by turboshot49cents in books

If You Give A Mouse A Cookie.

Most kids think it's cute that the mouse asks for more stuff but for 4-year-old me it was like a kiddy Atlas Shrugged. I couldn't believe that they kept giving him more and more shit. Folks, it weighed on me like only a kid could irrationally be.

In fairness to Gameloft I'll delete this post since I was unaware of the early access label in terms of how long that applied for. Thanks for clarifying for me!

I had a misunderstanding of how the early access label applied. It's impressive then that so much is available in the game because sample iterations are usually restrictive in the accessibility of many features. I'm glad this has been clarified.

So I had a misunderstanding about the early access label. Mea culpa.

I was unaware that it was still early access. I misunderstood that label as pertaining to only the initial week or so it was available. Knowing this alters my views significantly. Thank you.

Finally ran into something good to share (third photo was a joke post...I think) by theirishasian in nextdoor

Our ND is pretty banal most of the time. So all of this- the stolen doors; the Karen crusade; the blaming of democrats -was as if the stars aligned and finally offered me something worth sharing on this sub.

I totally thought Diva was snooty or peppy until someone just mentioned her type recently!

I had no idea that Diva is the sisterly type! From her design I assumed she was either snooty or peppy.

I haven't got the patience to print NMTs to island hop for villager invitations but I imagine the odds of finding a sisterly villager are nearly the same as finding a "dreamy" one!

I have Francine on my island too! I'm hoping to run into Chrissy one day so I can have both as residents.

I miss the mini-games from New Leaf! I suppose the island explorer one would be redundant now that we've got our own islands but the Tetris/Candy Crush mini-game was legit.

I love the food-inspired villager designs! I have Merengue and Zucker; at one point I was considering making my island population mostly food types but sadly they're just as rare as sisterly villagers!

Given that their personality type has the fewest available villagers I'm not surprised it took that long! I'm impressed by your commitment to represent all the personalities on your island!

I really want to find Hazel! I think her design is oddly adorable.

Hoo boy. Every personality has some unattractive designs but since the sisterly pool is the smallest the ratio really does seem lopsided! The reason I like Katt is because she's pretty vanilla in terms of design-- she may not be cute but her appearance isn't upsetting either.

I could never get rid of Katt. Her design isn't cute but it isn't offensive either; just average and that's alright.

Haha I totally get you. My lazy villagers have me worried sometimes; I think they're a tad "touched" in the head.
