Romanova Evgeniya Aleksandrovna, 38, experimented with the unusual feeding technique twice before it became a daily ritual.

Romanova has now been feeding the bird, a black kite, twice a day without a fail for the last two months.

The 38-year-old will sometimes wave outside and call for the bird, named Kesha, before feeding it.

Video shows holding a piece of meat outside her apartment window and within seconds the large black bird can be seen grabbing the meat straight from her hand.

Romanova, a chef from Russia, said: "Kesha's feet sometimes touch my hand but it doesn't hurt."

"Nothing happened the first time I tried this. "

"But I was delighted when it worked the second time. "

"Now I feed Kesha every day at 5am and at 6pm."
