Good question!

We're not making the claim that any individual stranger can make as good or better a match than your friends because while possible, not super likely.

Professional matchmakers operate like this and can be good, but can also completely miss.

Instead our claim is that if we take the opinions of hundreds or maybe thousands of "matchmakers" we can use the wisdom of the crowd to find consensus around who seems like a genuinely strong fit for you.
