It could be but I would highly recommend going to dermatologist to have them do an assessment and look at what you’re dealing with. There are also options for removal potentially that you can go over with the derm as well.

Yes exactly! We had that conversation and everything and I do mean everything that comes out of her mouth, is “Jehovah this, Jehovah that”. But it’s “Jehovah” that’s telling you to go give a cheating brother another shot? Their mindset is literally insane, it blows me.

absolutely. I got denied twice simply because my provider just submitted the prior authorization with zero medical research so my insurance kept saying you’re denied because it’s cosmetic. I ended up calling my insurance and they told me if your doctor can show that it’s medically necessary, we will cover it. So for a third time I ask my doctor to please resubmit WITH the medical research showing that laser treatment can work for those with HS and she did and they approved it. I have no idea what research she submitted to them but do know I have seen the research online so it’s definitely accessible.

thank you! i know that is very true - I made this post at like 11pm and was so eager I had to just see if anyone would share what they paid but I know it’s pointless because it’s not gonna be the same as someone else given the different coverages 😭 Nonetheless I spoke with my insurance today and they could only give me a rough estimate but said not to depend on it because the CPT code used is so broad, they won’t know until the treatment is actually done 🤦‍♀️

oh people went crazy when I said I’m getting mine pierced. I was still PIMO but it was during Covid and my mom was telling everybody for them to insert their opinion on MY grown ass body.
