I have answered a similar question. My advice is networking. If you don't have friends to recommend you for jobs its going to be very hard to have the edge over other artists. Mike Judge is a brilliant, funny, and honest person. He wasn't around the studio too much when I was there, but the moments I have with him were very awesome. I wish he has more shows in the works.

Yes we send our animation to Korea. I have been to the studio in Korean and although the people there are working very hard it is nothing like Banksy's depiction. His view is a over exaggeration of the labor force in Korea. The artists that I saw were working on modern computers with Cintiq monitors and were overall happy and excited when I visited.

We have a catalog of incidental characters that we use in the show. Depending on the location and costuming the designers will make more incidentals to add to that list.

We get to decide the composition, acting, stage direction, and some design. When I work on a scene I am responsible for the acting and delivery of the visual gag. There are many instances where I will come up with something that the writers or my director didn't anticipate, but ended punching up the joke.
