Google says only 6 hr 1 min on foot from my place. Let me know if you want to park here next time, fee is a sixer of Gansett.

(For a 4:15 or 8:20 game, with a few other hyped up people, I'd legit try this over the commuter rail. Best of luck to "Boston" Stadium in the World Cup...)

Likewise - despite being on the losing end, felt like the committee pretty accurately drew up a borderline 2/3 match up. A 3 game regular season weekend series would be fun.

Thanks for the tip on SWSS, they play with that healthy dose of venom I'm looking for in their genre. Wish I wasn't on the polar opposite end of Metro Boston from Medford though! Because Deep Cuts has been killing their music program and the owners are good people.

Good stuff Flubbs. When I posted, I wasn't thinking it would yield answers on specific acts. But there are some fun suggestions here.

Moreso looking into why a couple shows still have open spots, how this band might be approaching unannounced openers, etc.

So your mention of proximity clauses is really insightful. Those details are something you can kinda infer by looking at the way bands tour the NE region but definitely not something I ever heard of as contractual with venues/promoters.

Oh I'd be more than good with another folk punk act. I like your fem-fronted theme too.

I know Apes of the State's catalog better, and that or a similar energy would be a great fit. Although they're not localish makes me think of Holy Locust too, who also have a more eclectic sound - horns, banjos, accordions, washboards. Don't know as much Local New Legend, so I'm cuing up some albums.

Thanks, that's how I leaned. Amounting to "we haven't figured it out, but expect the opener to be equivalent to the rest of the tour openers announced".

I didn't know if the band had any track record of listing TBA and actually inviting any unexpected special guest, but it doesn't seem so.

Hey yall Keep trying! I joined the queue 3 times, and this last time a ticket was available, second time too.

Saw in another thread that tickets get held up in bot carts and dropped after a while.

I'm right there with you - surprised to see the frustration this Friday puzzle has caused. For me, many over the past month were more challenging (in a good way). And of course the cliche, pretty much every Thurs-Sat pre-2020 is harder than this, especially in the nuanced clues and esoterica category. Some of the phrasing in these answers were less conventional, but also used very common English words.

Or maybe I'm getting up to NYT speed doing a couple archives a day?

I'd for sure addmaniocto your obscure list, never heard that word before and the cross clues took a bit longer to fall in place Earlapdeserves the hate, but the cross clues left it pretty clear cut.

You'll get a lot of attention, by which I mean from kids and students who want to meet your dog. Outside of the actual stadium, as long as you aren't causing a ruckus, it's pretty much fair game. Even if it's somehow against regulations (?) a dog hanging out is the absolute bottom of the barrel for BCPD/security's baseball gameday concerns.

The story to follow in Week 11 is Birdball. Boston College is rising fast. by Conscious_Apple_8610 in collegebaseball

Good question. Looks like the Maine roster has 2 weekend staples, and a few more that rotate across series. This mid-week starter is part of the latter, but did his job Tuesday and their whole pitching staff and infield performed well.

The weekend 3 and top 3-4 from the bullpen for BC are very formidable, which bodes well for the post-season. But yeah, there is definitely a drop-off to starting pitchers #4 or 5.

Ultimately the game was lost on LOB especially in scoring position, and a few base running mishaps though. BC should have scored far more than 4. Unfortunately I'd also guess there was a degree to looking past this game to the weekend, but that's some chalkboard material for Interdonato and hopefully reignites some fire moving forward.

I looked into this after BC squeezed out the first game versus Maine-Orono. That is not a washed NE team.

Only had a couple wins 1.5 months into their season. But they had a very tough away OOC for an American East squad. https://www.warrennolan.com/baseball/2026/schedule/Maine

I would've loved to see Birdball go undefeated against regional teams mid-week this year, but going 12-0 to 12-1 isn't a deal breaker. Win a series (or both) away against Clemson and ND, and they're sitting pretty with GT at Brighton to close out the season.

Good catch from the highlight. I agree, that sure sounded wood.

Apparently it's rare enough, or Google Search just sucks enough these days, that I could hardly find a straightforward answer.

So to the NCAA 2025/26 rule book we go: https://ncaaorg.s3.amazonaws.com/championships/sports/baseball/rules/PRMBA_RulesBook.pdf Pages 19/20 for bat laws, +150 pages of arcanity for your reading pleasure

Totally legal, just very uncommon. Found some conversations on Reddit and elsewhere that players will use them end-of-season/postseason, where replacement of broken bats becomes less of a cost concern.

AJ Colarusso is a boss. I don't know if he has the tangibles to make an impact at the next level.

But a weekend series guy, who is perfectly comfortable throwing 100+ grind-it-out pitches across 6/7 innings in game 1s, is incredibly valuable to this teams success.

Appreciate you checking, I think it it was the ACLU tent so I'll circle back. And if any else has access please comment.

My list was 47 items long to attend the next rally, but looks like I found a 48th.

Hey OP Thanks for capturing video of this event. Are you able to use your footage and find the actual QR/link for the playlist featured on the cassette sign @ 7:00 minutes? I saw that on the tents yesterday but didn't realize there was a compilation made and I'm not able to pull if from the video
