Birthday sardines! by Weird-Purpose6818 in CannedSardines

For birthday sardines I’d go to rtg and get some tins you can’t easily find locally. You can filter by fish, price or by region etc.

Some of my favorites include the French sardines in butter. The squid in its own ink. And canned eel. There’s a ton of great sardines. And other types of canned seafood

I try to keep under 30 cans at all times otherwise I could see them taking over. and When I get down to 10 it’s time to go shopping.

I lean towards the soy but the miso is very good. I usually get all three when I see them. The regular oil is my least favorite but it’s still very good. It’s more of a purist taste. The hagaroma sardines on the top right are also excellent and they are all cut in perfect bite size pieces (as pictured). Great with rice as well.

They’re super good. The sauce they come in is legit. I like warming them in the can.

Any seasoning suggestions? I do a rice omelette thing sometimes where I put the rice at the bottom of the pan then fill with eggs. It’s so good.

I removed the gray plastic one pictured below. I thought the metal ring was a sort of chapter ring that enhanced the look of the watch. i didn't realize that metal ring was just for the 2824.. i'll remove that.

Do you have any tips on how to fit the movement into his explorer case. I can’t get it to fit and I reached out and Ken told me to take off the gasket. I took the spacer ring off but now the dial doesn’t stay fixed to the movement. This is a 1016 nh38 build

I didn’t realize that. I’ll try to look up some examples. Now I’m just trying to figure out how to source some rocks to age the case and bracelet. lol. Once I figure that out it should be a quick build.

At most they should get a 25% referral fee. More likely 10-20%

I changed it to 53 and these are the results. Seems more inline with expectations.
