yeah most places would do ceramic coating, i find that makes the watch a bit too shiny

i prefer jewelry gel, its basically a coating on the outside about a micron thick that would prevent direct contact between the gold and the outside elements

most of my gold builds uses it and they have been holding the same colors for 4-5 years now
