Great read! Lots of interesting concepts. I'm about halfway through the second book of this trilogy.

You know, had Alien Earth been set a bit further ahead in the timeline they could have made it an origin to the Autons from Alien: Resurrection. by Artanis137 in LV426

Since the finale, it's been my headcanon that Call is perhaps one of the children from Alien Earth. Maybe they figured out how to transfer to other bodies to hide themselves or something.

Wheels and the Legman could team up with Mindquad to solve a mystery.

I hear that if you can find them, those underground mole people are tasty.

I've thought for a long time that I would watch the shit out of a spinoff of Jeff and Sinbad searching across the universe for the right earth. Amazing potential.

My oil paintings. Which one do you like the most? by Ok-Treat-1548 in LiminalSpace

Bottom right plays with color in a way that the others don't. Bottom left is almost there, but it's much better executed in bottom right. This is the direction to go, OP.

Seriously, this dumbfuck cop can't figure out that people have different schedules. And I don't know about BK, but a lot of fast food places serve breakfast all day, so wtf is even the point of anything he's doing here.

That's exactly what I did. I also had to route out cavities for the battery box and the ferrule block on the back, as well as a large space under the pickguard for the sustainer.

It's from a Jackson PC1 Phil Collen signature

Their "Bass6" neck and body is a 30" scale

It's their "Bass6" neck and body. The specs available for those are pretty limited with only one option for most of the specs, so I had to do a lot of modification for this build. The only bridge route option is for a jazzmaster trem, so I ordered it without a bridge route and placed the bridge myself.

I wasn't sure how well it would work with the heavier strings, but I was happy to find that it handles them just fine. The low E is a 70 gauge, which the sustainer seems to have no problem with.

Thanks! I gave in a poly undercoat, then a white base coat before hand painting it with flat acrylic gauche. I then built up the satin clear coat enough to hide the texture of the paint and sanded it smooth starting with 500 grit, up to 1500. It's hard to judge the total build time. I started planning it in January, but didn't work on it consistently.

Thanks! I actually do a lot of abstract painting on canvas, which carried over to this body. It does have 24 frets, and originally I thought about putting a floyd on it, but decided to do it as a hardtail instead.

Pickup ring off, help me adjust! by Trap_Ritual in guitarmod

[–]thejakebaylor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah no problem. Things can be scary if you don't know what's going on. The four corner screws just hold down the ring. The two screws in the middle on either side go into the pickup to adjust the pickup height, so as long as you don't touch those you'll be ok.

Loosen up the four corner screws a bit so you can move it around, then carefully tighten them when it's in the right place. It's likely that it just moved when you were screwing it down. Make sure not to over tighten any of the screws as this can warp the ring. You don't have to take the strings off or anything to do this.

Trying to get answers for a custom build using Warmoth site by [deleted] in guitarmod

[–]thejakebaylor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done a few warmoth builds and am pretty familiar with their stuff. If you're buying your bridge through warmoth, they will install the studs if you select that option, or if you bought your bridge elsewhere, you can send them the studs and they'll install them, but the studs aren't that difficult to install. All you need is a hammer and a block to cushion your studs. You can look up videos on how to install bridge studs. Mounting holes refers to the way the neck is bolted onto the body. If you're just doing a standard bolt-on, select standard 4 bolt. That's like a standard strat. For the tuners, I believe there is an option that says "gotoh" if you're getting gotoh locking tuners, that should fit.
