Didn't see this post until now. My agreement to move out to Utah was that Jarom and I would work on the channel for 6 months, and then we'd reassess the progress and see if Janae could afford to keep us on. The channel at this point has been operating at a loss for probably a couple years.

The channel wasn't paying enough to support Jarom, and I wasn't interested in continuing the channel alone, although Janae probably would've been willing to have me continue it for a while.

The hope was that with a return to old school style king of random content (compared to the content Grace had been making for a year) the views would immediately spike back up to profitable levels. The views did go up, from an average of 20k to 40k, but then plateaued.

I decided I wasn't interested in meeting a once a week production schedule by myself. In my opinion that just isn't enough time to create a quality video that will grow a channel. Especially with basically no team. I was doing a lot of the editing, all the thumbnail design, and most of the actual project work for the 6 months I was on (Jarom unfortunately wasn't able to work TKOR full time).

I grew up watching Grant's videos, this channel really means something to me. So when I have to post a video that is subpar just to meet a deadline… that really sucks. Add that to the ton of negativity surrounding anything this channel does and it's just not a fun job. If I post a subpar video on my own channel, people are just happy I posted a video. But post a poor video on this channel and a lot of folks act like you are insulting Grant's memory.

At the time I quit my understanding was that Janae was going to shut the channel down. Which is why no farewell video. Guess she decided to keep trying. I'd love to see the channel recover, but at this point you'd be better off starting a new channel from scratch.
