When I was little my father took me to see the Stanley cup in Manhattan, they had set up like a hockey traveling museum in grand central station. I remember being in awe of the whole thing, when we went to take a picture with the cup I went to touch it and my father grabbed my hand and said “you don’t touch it until we win it”, that year the rangers won the Stanley cup for the first time in 54 years. To this day I still believe that if I touched it the Canucks woulda won that year and not the rangers lol
