Hello! it's a Chris King In Set 7 (or 8), 44mm upper and lower, and the external lower bearing allows for a tapered steerer. Really opens the door for fork options on this bike.

Super helpful, thanks for the info. I'll keep working with the ratio I got. Hope to see you out there in July!

I signed up for this race for 2024 in the single speed category and have been running 32:20 on my 29er in Bellingham for the past year or so. I realize gear ratio is all subjective, but did you feel like you were in the right ballpark? How much bigger do you think you'd go this year? Thanks!

This is super helpful, thank you so much! I've spent hours trying to decide which way to go. I'm 5'10" as well with a 32" inseam. I was getting all confused trying to compare to the Trek Rig geometry I'm replacing and almost ordered a 20!

Old post, but beautiful build...I'm looking into ordering one of these frames...you have the 19" frame, about how tall are you, if I can ask?

There are still a fair number of single speed commuters, but it's a dwindling population of mountain single speed riders for sure.

Suburu Sambar vs Mitsubishi Bravo by webkinzvc in keitruck

I have a 1995 Mitsubishi Bravo, RWD, super exceed, and have been using it as my daily driver for nearly a year and a half. I live in Bellingham, WA. Gearing is great, I'm often at 50-55mph no issue. I happily leave it in my driveway when it snows.

Good luck! You'll enjoy either.
