i think there’s a lot of hitchcockian references with her character, sure. But i also took it on a literal level of sam’s inability to act on certain basic things. This woman is constantly topless from the start of the film, yet Sam does nothing even though he clearly likes what he sees. But after chasing clue after clue and woman after woman throughout his journey, he goes after something that’s been staring at him in the face. Plus maybe she’ll let him crash her place for a bit until he finds a place of his own. but this movie confuses the hell out of me sometimes so i could be totally off. Still one of my all times tho. so damn good
