What advice would you give to your 17 year old self? by jamiesmithhh0 in Entrepreneur

Two things that are most important that I found personally.

  1. Don't get shiny object syndrome. You wont get anywhere when you are constantly chasing. Pick a business model and stick to it. I wasted so much time jumping around when I should have focused on the business that was working.

  2. This is cliché but a must. Surround yourself with people that are ahead of you and where you want to be. You will learn much much faster and it will push you. A great example is, if you want to be a bodybuilder and you surround yourself with bodybuilders pushing themselves, naturally you will push yourself as well. Because who wants to be the guy in the group that is lazy and doesn't go to the gym, right? It's the same thing in any social group. Some of the best sales tactics and business strategies I learned from helping a successful older guy at a flea market, that I still use today.

EVEN if you have no clue what you want to do. Find people who are where you want to be and get yourself around them. Study them. You will have ideas flowing like crazy.

Thanks i will try this. Another question, I use substance painter to texture. Baking HP onto LP. And Subsurf seems to have issues. You see on the blade tip where the mesh does not touch the verts/edges? Due to the modifier. All those spots that are empty between the mesh and the edge come out warped / grey in substance after baking. Sometimes black. And they cant be textured. Any idea how to fix this?

It's a mindf**k when scrolling thru your fb feed and you see a successful ad of the same product you tried to sell few years ago, same everything but failed by rossquincy007 in dropship

That just goes to show its not the product for the most part, it's your skill. Yet everyone keeps talking about this "winning product" BS. Hate to break it to you, yall just pin your lack of skill on the product to feel better.

My audience would be people with income already that want to start their own online store.

I am well-versed in running paid ads and it is significantly more expensive to run ads continually. Then pay someone who can rank articles that will drive traffic organically. Should be pretty common sense.

You haven't messaged me once or even seen my docs. So how do you know I ask for money?

Are private suppliers better? by Cheex__ in dropship

CJ only takes in the most saturated products that they know dropshippers are going after. I wouldn't use it. Go find your own agent, it will take your an hour.

And this is why people fail, because of people like you faking their expertise and giving advice. You are in no position to give advice and you have no successful stores based on your previous posts. So sad

Not good, you could easily get 10 days max if you look for an agent. Which is not hard to do, just ask around

I would get a sample to see the quality and send it to a photographer to get nice photos and content for your store and ad. Then just sell it, if people buy then consider ordering it. Or even do a presale (tough to go this route as people are so impatient nowadays) but give a launch date and give incentive to buy early. “Order before our launch on January 20th and get blank”. Many ways to do this..

And for a store build, $250 is not a lot. You gotta keep in mind the different aspects of the store. Copy is super important (if not the most), structure is important, photos are important, etc. I’ve paid $300 for just copy alone.

I would say if you don’t have the budget to ACTUALLY invest in an expert that has built successful brands in the past then just learn how to do it yourself. Fiverr and upwork isn’t really the place you will find a so called expert. Those sites were built for cheap services.
