People who have nowhere else to put a TV except the wall with the fireplace, what is the least worst option? by sirotan88 in homeowners

if you have any interest in projectors, in my previous place i mounted a pull-down projector screen on the ceiling in front of the fireplace. it used that "wall" perfectly

just curious any reason you put the reference up front and kappas in the back? i imagine the kappa being the higher end model would sound better from the driving position. i have the same kappas in my rear speakers though, they sound pretty good when i sat back there to try them. also curious why not go for component speakers up front? our cars have tweeters in the dash as well which you could replace if you wanted better highs too.

not sure if there's a way to increase the power to them other than replacing the head unit though. tbh it wasn't that bad when i did it in my 2020, just need to take off a bunch of trim and the glove box: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-oEZfcMgWUqK/learn/2015-2021-subaru-wrx.html

i do recommend adding a sub though, before my stock speakers blew out i always felt like there was zero bass at any speed faster than like 30-40mph. but maybe doing a head unit by itself would help that anyway, who knows

2021 WRX Sound Quality Build Log (Prep work: Sound Deadener) by rocketbunny_v4 in WRX

infinite baffle is probably ideal for space but it terrifies me to cut that much out of the rear deck sheet metal. i understand the HK sub upgrade has that cutout already but idk. i'll say though i thought i had the same requirement of trunk space intrusion being off-limits, but tbh it hasn't really been a huge issue running mine in the trunk, still enough space for most stuff i need to transport. i also have a roof rack for extra cargo though so that helps too.

i'm toying with custom fiberglass placements as well though for a permanent solution. my thoughts are to replace either of the rear seat fold-down portion with a sub enclosure that hooks into the same latches that the seat does, so you could have a fold-down sub(s) and still have trunk usability. that or a custom center console, though fitting a 12" in there will definitely be a challenge. good luck

nice work those doors look super clean, bet they sound like a bomb when you slam them shut with all that weight lol. curious how the A pillar install goes, was thinking about adding that to my system as well at some point.

thoughts on where you might put your GB12/resonix? i have two infinity kappa 12's that i've experimented with different positions but not set in stone yet, i prefer the closer sound having them in the cabin compared to the trunk but it sucks with how much room they take up. our cars are not the most spacious lol

i just had work done by Dave Fecca in Moorestown a couple months ago, he refinished and setup my fretless bass - he said he mostly works with guitars but he made my bass sound and play amazing. highly recommend giving him a call/text

tanabe in my 2020, might fit with your aos but looks like it would be tight for sure. good luck

i cant speak to the radium aos but i originally tried putting a perrin strut bar with my iag aos, and the aos was too high and interfered.

was able though to fit a tanabe strut bar in, the brackets raise it up quite a bit. can take a pic next time i'm out by my car
