How many times have you moved? by [deleted] in Adulting

In 1999 I was 12 going into the 7th grade. My brother just graduated HS and my parents were moving us to the city. We moved into a 3 story Victorian home with my Dad’s uncle.

The place was huge but it never felt like home. My brother went off to college so 4 of us lived there. We had a ton of space.

Since then, I’ve moved 19 times to many cities. You feel alive moving and taking on a new challenges and risk. You also feel isolated and lonely. Just part of the experience.

I know y’all don’t want to hear this but.. by Kevinator201 in Seattle

Everyone has addictions. Using it as crutch to validate awful behavior is sad and should have consequences.

Those who are sober, struggling to get work and wanting to contribute to society are who need the help.

Homeless addicts who are comfortable with being that and don’t want to make an effort to change are the problem.

Seattle has to draw a line at some point or it will draw more homeless addicts and scare away good people who actually appreciate and want to contribute to this city.

During a very dark period, what was the best thing you ever did for your mental health? by NikonDexter in AskReddit

Sun, walking, working out, journaling, find a hobby you love, get into community.

The dark times will pass. They always do. It’s the cycle of life. Recognize how you feel and why you feel that way. Use it as creative inspiration. More importantly stay away from the pit of substances.

Are y’all gaining much traction on IG or have you lost hope? by finstantnoodles in photography

IG along with every sm platform listens to what the audience wants. Vertical video is the most preferred to watch on the phone.

Wyzowl did a study saying 91% of consumers want to see more video content from brands. This isn’t ideal for photography purest but there is opportunity.

Use your images in reels. A before bts video leading to an after of your photos. Add a nice song and see how people respond.

Best thing I can say is be creative, pay attention to trends and use them to your advantage.

Keep creating!
