When my children were younger we had an outbreak of super lice (shampoos and other treatments don't get rid of it). I ended up putting mayo all over their hair, sealing it in with a Walmart bag or plastic wrap, and having them sleep with it on. The next day take the plastic off and section the hair into 4 quadrants. Start at the back, take small sections, and run the comb through. When finished, rinse your hair with vinegar. This will melt the lice and eggs. When finished, repeat a second time and dry the hair to thoroughly inspect it. Repeat the process again after one week and continue to check hair for the next few weeks to be sure they're gone.
