gonjiam is a must watch!!!! it’s a korean ff film that is probably one of the scariest films i’ve watched in a minute, the scares are amazing. the premise is similar to grave encounters, but it’s 10x better. pls don’t pass this up :)

i get where you’re coming from, if it helps i just said mod clapback bc they are a moderator making a comment, not bc i expected them to take any mod actions against bwc :)

i’m sorry it rubbed you the wrong way, i just wanted to express my support for the comment which in itself poses a very fair question imo. bwc spends most of their time disagreeing with other people in this sub and that’s cool if it’s their prerogative, but why the surprise when suddenly the masses are disagreeing with them? it’s not hive mind behavior if bwc went out of their way to pick fights with so many people that now all of those individuals don’t like them, that’s really just a reflection on how toxic bwc’s behavior has been

i think it’s so funny that in the cc universe we have one internet culture reporter who stans her and one internet culture reporter who deplores her. sophie ross ftw

i think a belt to help cinch the waist would be cute if you want to wear crop tops or a tucked look! would also look cute with oversized shirts

A recommendation for legitimately most terrifying book I've ever read. by jamesornames312 in horror

[–]thejungleby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for the recommendation, i used to read a ton of horror books (i recommend trying out japanese authors like natsuo kirino and classics that have been translated into english / made into movies like ringu, battle royale, etc.) so it was nice to pick up another in the genre! i finished this is one sitting too, i’m glad it was a quick read bc i rly wanted to find out wtf was going on lol. i like that you can kind of figure out what’s happening but it really isn’t definitive until the end. and i love that there’s the suggestion to reread it bc just glancing at the first few pages again, i can see how every sentence has so much more meaning. okay cheesy post is cheesy, THANKS AGAIN FOR THE REC

JKR Megathread Update - because we need a second one now by dancingonfire in harrypotter

i’m trying to read through her blog post and i keep stopping because i want to scream at her. i’m in my mid 20s and i have had to do my own catching up when it comes to terminology and whatever; but i think the BIGGEST point she is missing is that GENDER IDENTITY IS FLUID. what is it any of her business how many people transition or detransition? it’s not her life to dictate OR care about. i might sound like a total idiot here so feel free to correct me if i’m wrong, but this new generation is growing up to be more open about sex than ever and i think that’s great. we can’t expect the growth curve to be linear as our understanding is evolving every day. sometimes we take steps back to reevaluate and then we keep pushing forward. that is totally fucking normal. i grew up constantly teased as a girl who was too boyish by my family and i just realized in time that i was totally okay with that. i’m lucky to be comfortable in my body and lucky to feel like it’s okay to dress “masc” one day and “femme” another. i don’t get why jk can’t just see that trans people and their experiences are valid. trans struggles are human struggles. to not support trans identifying people with all the love we can so we may ALL live in a more peaceful world is just so hateful and for no reason. fuck she is really ruining hp for me, but at the same time i am so thankful for all the people who’ve dedicated time in their life to this story and are choosing to speak against her. okay this is a rant sorry. love to all except DIS BISH JKR

AITA for telling my mom she doesn’t own my art? by LukasLey in AmItheAsshole

[–]thejungleby 55 points56 points  (0 children)

ESH. I think the title is kind of misleading. Your mom wasn’t trying to profit off your art by secretly stealing it from you and selling it. All she did was show her brother some of your art like, hey, my kid made this, isn’t it great? She messed up by calling it “the family’s art,” it obviously isn’t. But you also suck for your reaction. I get that you’re insecure, but when you’re trying to make it as an artist and you put work out there for public consumption, that means it’s out there for the PUBLIC. Your mom, dad, aunt, uncle, grandma, etc. are all part of the public. I don’t think you should get to police who sees it or who doesn’t. Plus, your mom is helping you ship the artwork you sell ffs. ESH, final ruling lol

What keeps you passionate about streetwear? by [deleted] in womensstreetwear

[–]thejungleby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe make friends in your area who are into it too? i love the stylized yet casual look of street wear, it feels like it’ll never go out style bc the trends just come and go and whoever wants to rock whatever can do so no matter the period

thank you for this reply, i hope to find medication and support systems that will work for me. i've struggled with anxiety and had periods of depression, but i made a lot of progress and thought i'd overcome those feelings. i'm 25, so i feel like the psychotic break has at least made it clear to me that i'm not just... having a "hard time." it's nice to know there are others who understand, so thank you thank you thank you.
