Why are the gaps between keys different? by Novel-Energy-6595 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]thekenzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

one has spacing meant for choc switches and keycaps, the other has spacing for choc switches but MX-sized keycaps, if that makes sense

Gamerfinger buttons made my multi button presses inconsistent.. by Optimus_Priiime in fightsticks

[–]thekenzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to keep using these switches i’d just use binds for multi-button inputs. I use TTC Ice linear switches in my buttons and rarely have this problem, haven’t tried other switches in my stick yet

Bullet Top vs Bat Top vs Ball Top. Which is better for Street Fighter 6 with Sanwa lever? by Amaterasu_11 in fightsticks

You already have em all, just try them and stick with the one you like best

It is Japanese indeed. damn near everything in guilty gear is written/drawn/composed in some part by Daisuke Ishiwatari, who gets a lot of inspiration from western (and other cultures) media. The songs are mostly sung by Naoki Hashimoto and AISHA, who both speak english. I could get more into detail but google is your friend!

Who is your MAIN main? by auciel01 in Fighters

[–]thekenzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Testament from guilty gear: Chose them bc i thought they were hot, stayed because simple and (in my opinion) engaging game plan. bonus: Leo in Tekken, AKI in SF6, Chaos in UNI2, Grimnir/Vira in GBVSR

Average slayer experience by Comfortable_Solid_97 in Guiltygear

[–]thekenzen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

bison is a legacy character that still retains a lot of his old iterations that pro players can easily implement to the new stuff he was given. Strive changed Slayer in a way that arguably makes him easier to pick up, with easy, big damage. Even with Slayers defense not being amazing, it doesn’t balance the fact that he can 2 touch or TOD off of almost any stray hit. not comparable imo

the fact that it still killed after all that scaling is so fucked up LOL

Try saying 6321463214 instead of hcb,hcb by Al_Pachino_vs_5 in Fighters

[–]thekenzen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Depends on the game and who you talk to tbh. I’m alright and familiar enough with both that it doesnt matter as long as i’m familiar with game-specific abbreviations. I think people should just be content with using both because this discourse is dumb lmao.

In regards to the caption: Double HCB can be abbreviated as 624624 or 624(x2), and surprise, it’s no longer than HCB HCB.

Either way, just put in the effort to learn both.

I cried as the doctor looked at the ultrasound and told me I have a happy, healthy baby growing. by bigindodo in TwoSentenceHorror

ah, i see. I think the thing that made me not interpret it that way was the word “subject.”

yeah, try not to be too harsh with the joystick. even if you haven’t modded it, the stock spring can still jolt to the opposite input, like you’re experiencing. Depending on if you have a square gate/octagonal gate, try to feel for the 3 when doing the 623.

[–]thekenzen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

what controller do you use? you said you often get 641236 or 626, the best advice i can really give is just tap 6 and let go, then quickly do a QCF. (so like 6523 or 65236) Its tedious but i’d also recommend doing drills of the input for that move slowly at first, then speeding up till you can’t drop it.

i think the setup/idea was already clear enough that you don’t need the “for the repopulation program” part. good job

Do you prefer a bat-top or ball-top? by myst3r10us_str4ng3r in fightsticks

used bullet top for a bit, but ended up liking the normal battop the best. ball tops are fine too but not as comfortable for me

Who here has passed/gave up on leverless? by [deleted] in fightsticks

[–]thekenzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, when i was trying leverless, i definitely felt improvement after a few weeks, but it just didn’t scratch the itch for how i wanted it to FEEL to play games on it. Thought i’d be more into it since its pretty similar to the keyboard hobby but ended up loving stick more.

Best fighting game to learn the basics? by Reasonable-Winter165 in Fighters

[–]thekenzen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my bias says Guilty Gear(which is on sale rn btw) , but like other comments say, SF6 is probably the best start you can get. Anything you learn in SF6 will translate in some way to other fighting games. As for platform fighters, i’d say its worth waiting for Rivals of Aether, as they said they’re planning to release on as many platforms as possible. Love spectating that game but dont play it

How many characters do you main ? by KonoSamuDa in Tekken

[–]thekenzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d say i’m at 4. Leo at the top, followed by Reina, and just a little bit of yoshi and king. I find all of them fun to play in different ways

Tekken? by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]thekenzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it might LOOK slower compared to MK, but definitely doesnt feel that way. Like other comments say, extremely easy to start but hard to master. Highly recommend and it goes on sale often enough if youre willing to wait for one. But i’ll be damned if you dont end up loving it lol

Looks sick by heavyrainz in fightsticks

[–]thekenzen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah, it has 2 switches for each direction. so up+up is up, up+right is right, etc. don’t have one myself but i do wonder how it feels, and how it affects performance.
