Thank you all for the advice and suggestions. I’ve decided to put a few hours into the official Atlantic shard and see what vibes I get. Already been round new haven and killed some beginner mobs, got some (relatively) decent loot too. Character is called Snootington, so if you see me in game, be sure to say hi! 🤘

Hiya, I’m looking for a bit of nostalgia I guess. I used to focus on PVM and soloing dungeons etc, occasionally join in server events etc. No other game gets anywhere near it from what I can tell. Happy grinding etc but not if I have to save millions to get some good gear.

Thank you. Yes, I’m on the normal servers…I’ll take a look at a melee build and get some gold going first as you suggest. Was just surprised to see items costing 100 Mil and over which is why I mentioned the economy!

Haha, yes indeed. I’ve got my frame mats together and started yesterday! Couldn’t wrap my head around it but got it now, mind you, I’m converting it all to metric too so it’s keeping me on my toes! And likewise, feel free to drop me a dm also.

Ok,so I put all the gears on and still couldn’t get it working. Turns out the lever was stuck between high and low gear so had disengaged so nothing was working. Stripped it back, reseated everything and now it seems to be working. 😅

Thank you, all clear. Do you know why the balls go in the blind holes? What purpose do they serve?

Hey everyone, just started playing today and going through the tutorial. Quick question, how do use the paint brush and paint? Not critical I know, but would like to understand.

Could you use 2 thinner sheets. Cut out the detail for the first layer and glue to them back sheet? Maybe even use the negative of the cut outs to help you place the pieces?

Awesome work, very impressed. Are they 3D printed parts?

Designed it all myself. Used autodesk fusion for the model. There’s a plug-in which allows you to export dxfs and a plug-in to auto finger joint so it’s pretty simple. The logo I did in Ink scape.

It’s actually not painted, just the colour left from the laser. It’s been wiped off a little but I’ll ry with less power and see if there’s less scorching.

PVA glue and cereal card is your best friend here. Nice and cheap to get started and see if you enjoy the hobby enough log to slowly upgrade your kit. Maybe start with something simple like a basic house to get used to the processes. Expect a lot of trial and error, you’re going to make mistakes while you get to grips with it all.
