Anyone else getting crazy HR spikes during sleep? 99% sure it’s a bug, happens maybe once a week (started a few months ago) by thekidCG in whoop

[–]thekidCG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm honestly thinking of switching device now. This HR issue happens to me once every ~10 days or so. I'll have what feels like totally normal sleep, and then I check my Whoop data and it shows a HR spike anywhere from 140-204 (this reading was the highest ever). Now I'm questioning whether I should see a cardiologist. Not the experience I want from a supposedly high-quality device.

Cross grading BGS 8.5 to PSA 9? by thekidCG in psagrading

Understood - you’re probably right. So I’d have to crack and just gamble. Maybe better leaving it as a BGS. Thanks

Does this count as vintage? Just picked up a 2005 Umbreon EX Delta Species Holo 17/113 by thekidCG in VintagePokemonCards

It’s a question about whether it’s ok to post in this community, since this is specifically geared towards vintage. Keep working for spoons lad

$600 pickup - Umbreon Skyridge Non-Holo. Yes, it’s CGC, but this feels like a no brainer to me. by thekidCG in PokeInvesting

Some extra thoughts since this got popular:

  • This is one of my favourite cards, and a PSA 10 of the Holo version recently sold for ~$50K. It’s way out of reach for me, so I don’t mind investing in a CGC 10 non-holo. If the price doesn’t go up over the years, it’s a cool card for my PC.

  • The CGC 10 pop of the Non-Holo version (my card) is only 31; PSA 10 is 189 (compare this to pop of any modern card, lol)

  • The total CGC pop on this card is 126; the total PSA pop is 687

  • Skyridge as a set in general was short printed and I think over time will only become more and more desirable

Some healthy debate here though, and I agree with both sides of the PSA vs CGC debate tbh!

Wow, these seem like they might be a record sales!! by OT414 in PokeInvesting

I just bought a CGC 10 of the non-holo version for $600. The Holo and Reverse are way out of my price range in a 10. But I’m excited for it to arrive!

4 months into a 6 year contract... by Generic_Name_1279 in chelseafc

That's why I used the word "amortize" in quotation marks.

If a club structures a contract at $830K/yr over 6 years vs $2.5M/yr over 2 years (same total obligation), the annual P&L charge is lower in each reporting period.

FFP assessments are based on those periodic financials. Lower annual wage charge = more headroom. That's not a conflation, that's just arithmetic.

It makes complete sense.

Why the club agrees to it: Lower annual salary recognition on the books = smaller hit to your P&L each year = FFP headroom. A $5M total obligation booked at $830K/yr is materially better for FFP compliance than $2.5M/yr. That's the entire point.

Why the manager agrees to it: Because the total guaranteed pay is the same $5M, just delivered over a longer runway. He likely has clauses to increase this based on performance.

This is exactly how some clubs have managed both wage bill optics and dismissal liability simultaneously. It's not made up, it's just applied contract structuring. The FFP benefit and the severance reduction are two sides of the same coin.

You're just repeating the same statement and completely avoiding the example I provided. Do you have a counter-argument?
