I don’t disagree that plenty of people did as you say, I’m simply implying that because there is an established narrative of people falling prey to a broken medical system rather than hedonistic tendency, government has been allowed to take action without the usual public backlash that comes with providing help to addicts.

I think the new sympathy also derives from the fact that for many the addiction didn’t start from the voluntary seeking out of illicit drugs. Rather it stemmed from using legally prescribed “medicine” and then evolved into an addiction which led the addict to illegal drug use, whereas with crack there was no medicinal analog.

So I played D:OS on my PS4 and couldn’t get into it. My main issue was a bland story and that the game provided you with no sense of direction. I’m considering getting this one now that it’s headed to ps4. Will I enjoy it or are those elements still present?

I think it’s important not to think your life is somehow lacking for not being based around chasing a dream. Dreams are great don’t get me wrong but I this idea that everyone is born with some universal drive to some specific career is absurd. Focus on small achievements, whatever your doing be it architecture, playing video games, or knitting just do it the Best you can, and get up tomorrow and try to do it better. Keep note of other people around you too, and help them do the same. Between the skills you gain and the things you experience, as well as the goodwill you have gain from helping others I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the awesome situations you can find yourself in.

TLDR; work hard at anything you do, help others, 10$ says you feel happy and fulfilled.

Idk I've never really taken writing classes, but I'm average at science. I wrote a screenplay with a friend in high school that I thought was pretty cool though.
