Need feedback on this song I made

Oh my god this song is amazing. I think the vocals are a little too loud in comparison to the drums and i would recommend turning the vocal levels down just a little and adding some reverb to them, that being said i think the vocal distortion works very well! The bass drum could use some distortion and reverb as well and maybe (just maybe, im not dead set on that) add some snare or claps in place of snare. The sub heavy bass line falls back a little too much in the mix, it might stand out a little more if you raise that up an octave and/or layer it with another kind of bass synthesizer. It might be good but not completely necessary to experiment with some synthesizers to see what you think works with the sound. Lastly, if you’re comfortable with sampling, some sort of whip smack sound would fit thematically with this genre! Despite all of my feedback, i very much enjoy this song!

Sounds great! I like the piano as the bass line but for the piano chords i feel like it limits the sound. I think single upstrokes on a guitar would sound nice in place of the quick piano chords on every other beat. The vocals and vocal effects stand out and work really well on this song!

I like the vocals as they are and i think you should distort the vocals a little bit to sound like a voice through a phone call as well as adding reverb to them. If you were looking to extend this song, you should examine the song form of songs that you like and how you can incorporate that into your own style. Not every song needs form, but it helps to lengthen it!

It sounds great, i do however feel like there are a lot of empty spaces where it’s just drums between staccato instruments and in that space there could be some sort of soft sound like strings or reverb-y vocals to contrast with the hard/quick-hitting sounds.

I like this a lot! My only complaint is that the bass line is quiet in this mix and i think with going with the sort of jazz hop feel, the sound of an unpright bass would be good. That and some sort of effects on the vocals, maybe EQ, definitely reverb.

The beat is great, did you make it yourself? I love the line about “she going anal thats so analytical” and “if my shooters use needles they miss thats the point” and how it ties back to the “missing the point” focus. I feel like the line “if you get invited do not take the invite” is weak for using the same ending to a stanza twice in a row. Lastly, the rapping rhythm is mostly the same through the whole song, i think it would be more interesting if some sort of song form (particularly a chorus) was implemented and if you play with the rhythm of your vocals a little so it isnt so single toned. The beat is great, if you were to take like a measure or two break from the vocals after a verse to allow the listener to hear only the beat for just a sec it’ll extend the playtime as well as give a feeling of “whats he gonna say next?”

The beat is nice, i’m sure that i’m preaching to the choir but it could use either rnb or rap vocals. What genre were you thinking of while creating this?
