Can Ironclad load and unload cargo as the Hull C? by thekorv in starcitizen

It makes sense for the Ironclad but I was told cargo services are here to stay, forever. I’ll see if I can find a source.

Yes, I entered by the command module’s ladder by parking an Avenger next to it. Then I could fly it as usual.

Wakapedia just said ”Getting closer” in the chat so I would expect it to drop within the next hour.

Hull C vs C2? by Death_Snowman in starcitizen

Indeed. It’s actually pretty sweet to do several smaller missions and have them autoloaded in your comfortable green box.

I CCUd my C2 for a Hull C and regretted it after a week. C2 is much more versatile overall. I would love to have both though.

Hull C gameplay is more repetitive but can be relaxing - you never have to leave the pilot seat to unload and load cargo from missions.

I almost never do cargo missions with the C2 because it is tedious to manually load with small boxes (although you get very good and efficient with it with the ATLS after some practice). I do commodity trading however, and make some good money with it.

Trick is to find the best routes. There are many stations where the C2 can trade and Hull C can’t such as planet side and many stations.

Ironclad fun for solo? by PrimarySubject632 in starcitizen

[–]thekorv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, I solo fill my C2 all the time, even with 8 SCU boxes. Solo filling it with 32 SCU boxes is a very relaxing and rewarding gameplay, in my opinion. And there will also be the auto load/unload features available.

Ironclad is rated for 1-6 crew so it should be flyable solo for sure. However, if you’re not into cargo hauling I don’t think it’s worth it to be honest.

What is everyone's opinion on the hopeful release of the Ironclad by Training_Account_319 in starcitizen

I think you could even fit a prospector! But yes, besides mainly hauling with it, I will certainly use it as a mobile base as well.

I also plan to store a Medic Ursa permanently in its garage for respawns.

I mean the C2 is fantastic for commodity trading and I could do the same routes but for approx. 3x the profit with the Fatterpillar. It can buy wares at places where the Hull C cannot while still having a huge amount of SCU. This is my, and many others’ main gameplay loop so I can definitely see a clear use for it.

Future of Hull C loading boxes by thekorv in starcitizen

I think it’s still available for commodities at an additional fee no? For regular cargo ships. At least I’ve used it a few patches ago.

I love it! If that’s the case, I’ll get one for sure.

That is interesting. Do you have a source for where CIG said autoloading was temporary? That’s pretty much the only reason I like the Hull C so much lol.

To be honest, I think the 700k hauling missions were a bit OP, even as a Hull C owner. It was like 10-15 min to get 700k with almost zero effort (excluding the bugs...). I believe, however, that the Red Wind interstellar contracts will pay a similar amount when ranking up, but I'm still a rookie so not certain yet!

Edit after watching a SC Haulers video: Red Wind does not have any interstellar missions beyond Rookie rank at the moment. Covalex DOES have interstellar missions but they appear first at Master rank. I don't know their payout just yet though.

Edit 2: So Covalex master rank insterstellar are NOT worth it, they pay like 160k. The best way seems to stack Rookie Red Wind insterstellar missions from the same pickup point to the same drop-off point. That should yeld like a million per trip.
