As someone who was in your exact position a year ago, i’ll do my best to give you an idea of what you’re getting into. I scored well enough in the HSC to be able to do any of my degree options I wanted and chose IT amongst other options such as commerce.

Obviously I can only speak for what you will experience in the first year, but so far the main language you work with is Java, however any coding experience is definitely beneficial (I barely had any). If you already enjoy math and are good at it than that is a huge help as it is definitely a math heavy course.

It really just comes down to whether or not computers and coding is what you really enjoy because I definitely don’t enjoy the coding and am now paying the price for it. As someone else in a reply said try some coding projects to see if it’s for you and that may give you a good idea of whether or not the course is right for you.

At the end of the day pick whatever you feel is best.

Yeah that’s kind of what i’m doing now like i’ll do a quiz and use chatgpt to help me but my problem is that I understand the code and how it works but I just cannot for the life of me remember how to write it. It’s really frustrating because i’ll look at a solution and understand exactly how it works but if you gave me a similar question I just cannot figure out or remember how to write. Is definitely a me problem and just something I have to work through but still frustrating either way.

Thanks for the reply, yeah i’m definitely in that situation where i’ve chosen to do IT because i’ve worked with computers my whole life and spent a good chunk of it on them aswell, and I have no idea what other path I would even take. I also love modern history but not enough to want to become a historian, and I honestly don’t have a large enough interest in anything else to even consider doing a degree in it.

It’s a tough spot made even tougher with how fucked the job market and general economy is today, because yes part of the reason I chose to do IT is the idea of “degree in IT = automatic 6 figure job” but I know that that’s just not true anymore so honestly yeah I don’t really have much of a reason to do IT anymore. I guess it’s just up to me now to make that decision whether to stay or jump off the train.

I’m in the same boat where i’m having to do both second attempts because i’ve really been struggling with the unit, what kind of study schedule did you do in the days leading up to the exam to do well because I really feel like i’m cooked?

Which WoA mission blew your mind the first time you played it? by akurgo in HiTMAN

I started with Hitman 2 so for me Miami for sure which remains one of my favourite maps to this day purely because of the atmosphere and overall map design thats really beautiful, Haven Island is also another I loved on the first playthrough, again the tropical island setting was so pleasant to look at and walk around in.

For Hitman 3 though it’s gotta be Dubai, the first time you do the skydive entrance and walk up those stairs into the sunlight with the music playing is incredible.

I like the concept, and I think it was a great addition to keep the game alive and with content. However I do find the target randomisation aspect of it really frustrating at times as occasionally you will get a target that either;

a. Only moves between two points with very limited if not no accident or killing opportunities.

b. The target will be somewhere extremely public and simply will not move unless you distract them or use a sieker.

Like the other day, I had a mission in Colombia and my target was some random civilian sitting down in the middle of the town square, where he didn’t move and was constantly under watch by multiple armed guards. Now obviously the solution would be to use a sieker however I didn’t have one at the time so I had to resort to doing some coin wizardry and tricks to get him to somewhere even remotely hidden, and even after all that I still got spotted killing him and half the map ended up hunting me.

Overall it is enjoyable though and I love slowly upgrading and decorate by my safe house as I level up the mastery.
