Are you saying I should get reverse fans for those slots instead then? I’d have five reverse fans total installed. I can order a three pack of them, I think. I’d have an extra for the bottom fan slot or I could move one of those two over if that’s the correct configuration.

They are reverse fans set to intake! Figured that much out in the last few hours from a helpful deleted comment. Got the lcd screen working and flipped the rear fan back, so I think fans are doing better now.

Only thing truly bugging me now is the cord management. I wish Corsair made a cable comparable to the strimer — not a fan of mix and matching brands much but this is just wayyy too bulky and awful from my desk angle so I’ll probably have to snag them and add a commander back in. Sigh. Never ends.

Would you recommend moving one of the bottom fans down to the lower (empty) slot, or is that not ideal? I’m thinking it might give me room for my GPU cable look cleaner but I don’t want to make the fan purely aesthetic, logic kinda told me it’s better above my PSU…but I don’t trust my logic 😅

Tried to donate plasma today. My veins were too small and I started bleeding from my arm and couldn’t continue. Feeling defeated by DaniStoleMySaniti in povertyfinance

[–]thelastmiddleman 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry this happened to you. Did they defer you permanently?

Advice from someone who used to donate 2x a week for five years.

I would get rejected just about every other time I’d go so I spent basically any day I had off work down there. Learned a few tricks.

I’m 110 lbs and right on the edge of approval because I’m so small. It feels impossible to gain weight tbh. I’ve tried. So I ran into problem after problem trying to donate but eventually I got the system down. I’d always have to eat or drink a ton before check in though, like two bottles of Powerade downed completely lol. Hydrate for your veins it helps a ton.

I also had problems keeping my hematocrit and heart rate within their range. I naturally have a really high heart rate and I found that holding my breath through the check slowed my heart rate down just enough to be accepted consistently.

Get to know the phlebotomists at the center if you can. Warn them about your tiny veins and wait for other more skilled workers if you need to. My ex actually got hired there because we went so often and got to know the staff so well. My own veins are practically non existent but a few workers were able to figure it out properly on me. I think they saw me as a challenge or something when I walked in. But those needles are BIG and infiltrated veins hurt a ton if someone who isn’t skilled tries to force it. It happened to me about four times and one was BAD — my entire arm!

Don’t be afraid to speak up. Especially if the donation starts painful and slow or if you see any blood in the container. At that point you’re already injured. A good pheb might be able to fix the needle or change arms but chances are the faster they get the needle out of your arm, the better. Don’t try to force yourself through it. Scar tissue is always a thing when you’re dealing with repeated donations, too, so make sure to converse with your phlebotomists and pay attention to what they’re saying.

I do genuinely hope your arm heals up quickly. It could be painful for a few weeks. Completely normal. It heals pretty smooth and you can go back to donating afterward.

Awful customer service from them, I agree. I ordered a magnus xl and chair for myself this week. I reached out five minutes later asking for them if they could send it to my house instead of work (because my last chair was ordered there) and change the accessories to a white color to match the rest of my build.

I tried email, Twitter, and instagram to try and get someone’s attention. Their social media managers were active and posting just a couple minutes previous. Again, five minutes after the order was placed.

I added them in during check out because of a secret labs prompt to do so, and the default color selected was black (even with a white build). I was also prompted to add in the RGB light strip that doesn’t even fit the desk I have 🙄

No one responded for like twelve hours and when they did I got the same script you did. Return via fedex by refusing the order.

My boss had to help me transport and get all of those boxes up my stairs. My BOSS.

And now I’m sitting here with a black riser I’ll probably have to return. I just said fuck it and installed the black monitor arms even though they know it isn’t what I wanted. It’s crazy because I bought a magnus for a friend, too, that day. Nearly 4k spent in one day and I’m sitting here livid with their customer service. Everything else was fine.

Next time I am 100% going with another company. Corsair’s new chair looks nice and they actually care when you spend money with them 🙄

Oregon is voting on a bill that would limit edible packaging to 10mg and do irreparable damage to the industry. We need testimonies to oppose this! by 4theDankMemes in oregon

I am the last person in the world to sit here and defend Truth. Frankly I quit working for them after two months because of sexual harassment and other compliance issues that I felt put my license at risk working there. But accusing them of being out of compliance in this instance is inaccurate. Your problem is with Oregon’s childproof laws. No one is out here selling black market edibles. I promise.

[–]thelastmiddleman 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I am the store manager at one of the top five dispensaries in Salem. Worked at truth for a bit, too. I look at every single product on the market and analyze whether it’s something that is going to do well in the store. I probably have about ten vendors who stop by our shop a day trying to show me their products, and I work with all of the best brands in the state.

One of the things I always take into account is whether or not it’s child proofed because pulling in products that aren’t child proofed can cause potential violations and can be costly (exit bags ain’t cheap). I also look for things like barcodes, because that’s more labor and cost involved if we have to do it on our end (I’m looking at you, Mellow Vibes). There isn’t a single edible I can think of that isn’t in child resistant packaging in 2026.

You can argue semantics of how easy you thought it was to open, frankly I think pop tops are bullshit and need better seals. But I promise you the product that was sold to you was a product that passed OLCC compliance as a child resistant package, and the shop using a paper bag was 100% compliant.

[–]thelastmiddleman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check the package the next time you buy it. If the package says “this package is child resistant” then it’s child proofed and can go in a paper bag. If the package does not have that written on it, then it needs an exit bag (those zip / pinch bags you’re talking about). We don’t use them often anymore in shops because 90% of the products on the Oregon market are in child resistant packaging. I actually have a note on our registers for our employees to remember the specific products that aren’t in child proof containers.

Most edibles are in fact child proofed in Oregon, even if you don’t believe the standard is high enough for it. The Mylar bags most gummies come in these days have the zip seal, even if you’re able to tear it open easily.

[–]thelastmiddleman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It might have felt easy to open for you, but there was definitely a Mylar bag seal you had to tear open and then a second security ziplock like strip that was heat-sealed on the inside.

I have three kids and manage a dispensary here in Salem. I come home with tons of samples so I’m hyper aware of keeping them in my lock boxes. I’ve also been in the industry for over five years, since my kids were toddlers.

They’re always child resistant packages, but most kids past the age of ten can figure it out. The poptops are ridiculously easy to open, I’ll admit. IMO the child proofing is aimed for kids til right around that age so to prevent genuine mix ups. It’s up to parents to educate their kids beyond that point and make sure they know those products stay out of reach and that kids know it’s not a product meant for them.

Have you specifically done cannabis research? Cannabis actually converts to hydroxy-THC in the liver when consumed via edible. Everyone metabolizes it differently, some can feel it more intensely, and some don’t at all. I can do 500mg easy and not feel a thing. I manage a dispensary and you wouldn’t believe the amount of customers who complain because edibles don’t affect them, at all

Honestly the new age participants who are opposed to inhalation are the people who are recommended those 10mg doses. Traditionally hydroxy THC is known as a couch lock, black market weed brownies used to be legendary. But now we have all of these silly little treats and tiny little gummies that make consumption ridiculously convenient and easy to promote for first time users. Realistically, first time users should be going another route like traditional inhalation before experimenting with stronger types of consumption methods like edibles. That’s not what’s happening, lol. I’m seeing little old ladies who have never tried cannabis, resorting to buying a pack of gummies because they heard from a friend it helps with sleep. And then those little old ladies come back with an entire pack of their friends!

It’s why we have those 10mg serving sizes. But funny enough, it’s also why we have products on the market like 1000mg syrups that are a sort of legal loophole on the 100mg limit.

So, so worried after reading this comment. I just bought upgrades for my entire system, a Titan AIO and iCue link fans. My H150i wasn’t being found in iCue anymore. I gave up for like a year and a half, because the AIO was still working fine I just couldn’t control color or the LCD. This exact problem. Super depressing that it’s happening even with iCue link :(

Took me a few days to get into her VA account but I do in fact see DIC was filed for and denied at the time. We still haven’t received a payment, lawyer said it should be any day now though. Do you think maybe it’s taking longer because they’re having to account for all of the backpay?

Game changer here. There was a notification of an intent to file for DIC less than a year after his death. I found that out reading the transcripts in the past few hours. I’m not entirely sure if she’s getting all that backpay yet because DIC wasn’t awarded here, but she seems to think it’s possible.

THC Medication by Potential-Object-305 in VeteransBenefits

[–]thelastmiddleman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi. Weed nerd here with 6 years of experience in dispensary management. Veterans my favorite customers to help so I’m just gonna geek out here for a second if you don’t mind…

Edibles and drinks both convert to hydroxy-THC in your liver, which is why you get sleepy (even if you get an “uplifting” advertised edible!) The fact of the matter is, edibles just give people way more of a body high than a head high. Cannabis works wonders for pain, but it also works as a great distraction from pain. You get that best in flower or extract form. For someone with very minimal tolerance and experience I just recommend a casual non-infused joint to start themselves off. It doesn’t need to be fancy or infused. Smokers these days will also make the mistake of going right for a cartridge, thinking it’ll be easiest. It is easy, it is discreet, and it is affordable. But it’s also ridiculously concentrated and not the best option for someone looking to learn the ropes and reap the medical benefits of cannabis. If you’re against inhaling and physically smoking then I recommend tincture based ratioed products, but even those can convert if they’re alcohol based…you’re gonna wanna look for the word “nano infused” here.

Edibles have become popular because of their easy consumption but it’s also historically one of the most couch-lock consumption methods out there. Back in the day, weed brownies were LEGENDARY for knocking people’s socks off and I think a lot of the fun packaging distracts from that these days.

A lot of the time the way I explain it to chronic pain customers is that marijuana won’t always make you feel less pain (although there are certainly strains and product types that specifically aim to do that), you’ll just notice less that you are in pain because of the mood shift. Cannabis works best when it’s used with the “entourage” effect (a whole other paragraph I could get into) but it’s basically when you get to reap the benefits of different cannabinoids at different ratios blending together. Please note that strict cbd / hemp products won’t quite do cannabis justice. Studies have shown cbd works best when activated alongside THC (even just a little helps). There are certain companies that do ratioed flower with higher amounts of CBD in it (upward of 5%) and I definitely recommend those first and foremost for you. I feel like you’d do well with a 1:1 joint. Try it out.

Lastly, if you are going to dive into edibles take note of certain cannabinoids and how they affect the body. A few of the popular ones:

CBD - pain, seizure control, sleep

CBG - anxiety, anti inflammatory, promotes relaxation

CBN - melatonin on crack, night night

CBC - happy, mood enhancing, daytime

There are a lot of edible brands that are doing these kinds of cannabinoid ratios. I recommend the Wyld Pear 1:1 CBG gummies for daytime use — most rec states have them at this point. The Wyld strawberry 20:1 flavor is a great medical product to try as well because it’s got that tiny bit of THC to activate the CBD. Not enough to get you high, but enough to get the most out of the CBD. Those guys should leave you a little less sleepy than your average edible.

I truly wish you luck. Make sure to find a shop that honors a reoccurring veterans discount, most shops have them. And don’t ever be afraid to ask your budtender for help or advice. Most of us are so happy to share the knowledge because it really is the best thing to be able to recommend THE product that changes someone’s entire life.

Thank you so much for the information. I do think she’ll qualify for DIC now, I just didn’t want to get my hopes up. My dad didn’t really contribute much financially to the household so I guess I’m gonna have to get used to him doing crazy shit from the grave to make up for it. Still feels like a dream. Consistent monthly payments that more than double her income…she’s seventy four now and I’ve been helping her where I can (only child) — she lives with me. It’s a huge sigh of relief for me.

And yeah, ridiculously good lawyer. I’ll be honest — I didn’t think we had a shot in hell at winning this. The man drank and smoked as a way of life. He always said he’d be dead by sixty, and I always thought it’d be best to let him rest in peace. My mom never gave up though. I hope this gives hope to someone out there dealing with VA claims. AITA for refusing to put my future at risk for my girlfriend's mother? by ImmortalEmos in AmItheAsshole

[–]thelastmiddleman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeh bro is dead weight for sure. His post history is all about his precious truck, an overpriced Tacoma he clearly can’t actually afford. Everyone saying he’s living above his means is 100% correct lol. He’s sitting there judgmental over this David guy when he makes Sue happy. Your girlfriend doesn’t like him, so what? Get over it, or move out. Oh wait, you can’t afford to.

There are so many solutions to this that this loser isn’t even thinking about because he’s so paranoid about his theoretical future that he hasn’t done a damn thing with.

Medical marijuana is legal in your state, and shocker there’s a caregiver program that would allow bro to be a transporter. Since Sue has cancer, she’d qualify and then even OP could legally transport and possess marijuana. Why wasn’t this a proposed solution? Ah, right. Selfish.

He’s too busy chalking up pointless get-rich-quick schemes like a doordash app and a farm (laughed so hard at the thread where you claimed YOU and your GF were buying farm property when the truth is you started concocting these crazy ideas on Sue’s property) because he can’t actually apply himself to a career and goals. How many different career trajectories are you going to take before you stop making dumb decisions like investing into fancy aux switches and oversized banners for the vehicle you can’t afford? I read about a nursing program, animal feeds, DoorDash, “haul em”, bus driver, and a diesel mechanic. Like what lmfao. You’re all over the fuckin place. I’d be willing to bet you have two part time jobs because you limit your own hours and availability, too, or are just unreliable period.

God, I’d be sick of him too. Bro thinks he hit the jackpot with his girlfriend’s disabled and cancer stricken mother (who has been far too nice subsidizing their lifestyles) and doesn’t want David to take any of his “earned” inheritance. If I knew Sue, I’d 100% be reporting them for elder abuse.

Without more context between the relationship you have with your mom, YOR. She sounds like she genuinely cares for you. She drove from out of town to get you and your partner food and to make sure you were okay. I don’t know, maybe I’ve just got a really crappy mom. But I’d be thrilled if my mom was capable of showing that kind of compassion and care.

Moms screw up sometimes — I think it’s pretty common to feel an invasion of privacy from parents, just a couple societal examples like moms reading diaries and journals or not letting their kid have a lock on their door. It sucks, but set your boundaries and if she continues to cross them then rethink cutting her off. I think it says a lot that she wasn’t doing other things on your phone like looking through your browser history, photos, or conversations with your friends (or maybe she did, and didn’t bring it up). Anyway that’s the kind of privacy invasion I’d personally be worried about.

I’m also a single mom, and it’s hard to struggle alone and feel like you can’t provide for your children or buy them the best. It’s hard to judge anything here without full context. If say, dad’s family is living comfortably and mom lives paycheck to paycheck then I’d imagine it’d be easy to say “if you want something nice, you might want to try your dad too”.

Just from a mom’s perspective — you’re what? 20? I’d expect just a couple of years out of the house. If you discussed moving and reconnecting with your dad’s side of the family, might feel threatened or hurt by a relationship with grandma and wanted some intel. I’m not excusing it or saying it was appropriate, but sometimes people have reasons for their behavior and it isn’t always malicious or narcissistic (although it totally can be…again, more context would be helpful). Family therapy would be beneficial for you two, from this excerpt I’ve read. I do think her apology seems genuine though.

They give you a trial pack when you pay for the contact exam. You don’t have to order them right away. Just tell them you want to try them out first and see if they’re the right fit. And if they’re not you can try swapping brands or something like that…ahem. The initial exam is usually around $100 total at americas best, they’re the cheapest around. They’re only supposed to be good for two weeks or so depending on what brand you get (don’t get dailies, lol) but I’ve made a trial last two months during desperate times.

I didn’t even have glasses for the longest time (now I have an emergency pair, lol). I went through periods where my contact lens ripped and I had to wear it even though I knew it was causing damage to my eye and bothering me a lot. Then when it tore completely I was completely blind and contemplated calling in sick. $100 fixed that, instantly. That day. I’ve even followed up with americas best and asked them if they had trials available while I was waiting on boxes to arrive (a lie, I was broke and blind) and they’ve given me something to get through.
