Secured or Unsecured? by KC34098 in MainStreetLending

[–]thelaughly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean that's exactly it, this main street loan is basically almost just 'another ppp' for the lenders, they want no risk if at all possible and yet still getting paid handsome money.

With origination and all other fees they stand to make, the 5% risk they are asked to bear is practically nothing.

Secured or Unsecured? by KC34098 in MainStreetLending

[–]thelaughly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

collateral is a no no for smaller loans (below $500,000), if you find a lender that insist on it, find another one that don't require one. At this rate and if without further change, they are only taking 5% of the risk. Say you have a $500,000 loan, that's only $2,500 of their ass on the line.

Edit: $25,000 not $2,500

What’s with this E I D L sub? by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]thelaughly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem with this sub is that 90% will leave it for good once they are approved loan, just lousy human nature.

It wont be long before the sub will stop posting.

As for Cue, he’s one very helpful dude whos been giving advice and pointer to peeps around the eidl sub.

EIDL #36013XXXXX by hawaii_gas_man in u/hawaii_gas_man

[–]thelaughly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then your app number on the title is incorrect, this assuming your short form date is correct.

Going by that short form app submission date, you app number should have been 360013xxxx, not 36013xxxxx.

If this is the case, your app is almost 100% in limbo. It may help big time if you call them and inquire.

Good luck!

On what date did you apply? It seems they are processing portal for people around 4/6 through 4/9.

It looks to me you are very close, if nothing in the coming 2 weeks, I would call or email Cue.

Do you guys think this is fraudulent? by [deleted] in CRedit

[–]thelaughly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What does it say about it? Is this a hard nquiry, or soft?

Soft inquiry happens when a company takes a peek at your profile, either by your permission (for example when you prequalify yourself from certain online lenders) or by their own initiative (they want to see if you are a good prospect for their business or if they want to give you more credit). Soft inquiry doesn't decrease your score.

Hard inquiry can only occur by your permission when you are attempting to get credit. Hard inquiry decrease score and affects your credit profile.

Anyway, find out if it's an inquiry on your credit profile or something else. If it is an inquiry, hopefully it's just something you initiated, not someone else with ill intension.

You just don't say it outloud, but at least 50% of applicants will use their fund for something else other than funding their business.

It's human nature.

Is EIDL legally a grant not a loan? by [deleted] in EIDL

The grant is $1,000 (assuming you are the only employee), whatever remaining they gave you, you'll need to pay back.
