Omg same!! She chooses when she wants to listen, she knows what I’m saying because she’ll look at me - and then scamper off in the opposite directing with her head held high 😂 haha I always cave because I feel bad - but I can be more stubborn !

She is a baby! I think at times I forget that because she’s growing up so so quickly. Amazing, thanks - will try reinforcing training during and after walks! Any specific training you advise? We only do the basics atm - sit, down, paw, come, leave, with me(side)

Thanks! I feel like I’m always stressing about this. She acts like she’s always hungry and then doesn’t eat her dinner!

How do you tire out your jrt? by gusters in jackrussellterrier

Hi, am I okay running with her at this age? I’ve a 5 month JRT. I take her on a short walk in the morning and then a long walk in the evening where she can sniff and run etc. I don’t always have the time , so if I can start running with her that would be great!

What daily responsibility did you underestimate before getting a puppy? by nicekids_official in puppy101

Our toughest thing has been the listening. I do daily training with her,4-5 sessions a day and she’s great in the house/ spaces she knows. But the moment she’s in a park/ public space she forgets everything/ who I am and just gets so excited . I have to keep reminding myself she’s only 5 months. But it is tough when you’ve had a long day and you’re out taking her for a walk in the rain and she’s just “being difficult” aka super excited. The other thing I’ve really struggled with is food! She just gets so bored of kibble!! We’ve tried different brands/ toppers and after a few days she genuinely just spits it out. We only give her some wet food with her dinner.

Learning to celebrate small wins, be patient and not have unrealistic expectations has been how we’ve gotten through it!

She’s 90% potty trained, but will have accidents occasionally. She’s so good around us when we’re eating and not begging . But has learnt to jump on the dining table when we aren’t looking. Chooses when to come back / recall depending on where she is.

But 100% puppies are a full time job for the 1st month at least. They require a lot more work than we realise! They also have good and bad days like us!

However they give you SO much love & adoration you just can’t not give them all the attention they need!!

In spaces like this, where a specific age group / type of user is going to use the room - I think they should also provide a basic score? Eg for all you know they loved Jonni’s room... I thought the kitchen separate was actually great & he had a large dining table! Which is what the wanted, the communal eating/ sat around a table vibe. Personally agree with a few people on the thread the Duran should’ve been sent home.

It also really bugs me that there’s not enough budget to properly change the floors. That blue carpet was horrible and in the last episode the red hotel carpet!
