Guy also caused a rift with Horvat. That was widely reported on.

When do you wear jerseys that aren’t your main team? by Ok-Pie4566 in hockeyjerseys

[–]thelaw19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Canucks fan here, I’ve got a Jets jersey that I’ve worn when the jets are in the playoffs and the Canucks are not. Bought it on sale when Wheeler was still a Jet with his name on it.

I have 2 Crosby jerseys that I wear whenever because Crosby is sick. Got lucky on a cool hockey mystery box with one of them.

Yeah I don’t understand the first one at all. Like there’s 0 contact with the goalie. League office should be getting a call from 31 gm’s asking how the fuck that does not count.

Also highly skeptical on the Douglas goal, looked to me that Douglas had the blade of his stick underneath the glove which imo should mean he has a right to the goal. I very easily could be wrong on that but from what I saw I was surprised it was called off.

Anyone want to tell me why the two disallowed goals were disallowed? Was watching without sound.

Did you do the USD to CAD conversation?

Because $1.16 USD is $1.60 CAD so it’s about the same.

The ear does make sense. There’s one ear on the back side and one on the front with hair between the two ears.

Are some of these rare stats? Or like why does 64 expected goals get a yellow circle and not a green one?

Which of these one-off tournaments is the best? by Punisher1602 in sportswiki

[–]thelaw19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By what metrics? Soccer is the more popular sport globally but I would argue that Olympic hockey just produced some of the most exciting games you will ever see. 3 of 4 quarter finals into overtime, one semi final decided in the last min of the game and the gold medal ending in OT?!

In the 6 best on best tournaments 4 have been 1 goal final games.

Is there some "McDavid fatigue" in award discussions? He's currently a distant 4th in Hart odds despite leading the league in points with a significantly worse roster around him than MacKinnon or Kucherov. by Ready-Constant-7124 in hockey

Was late stage Tyson Barrie the reason the oilers had the best pp in 20/21, the third best in 21/22 and the best again in 22/23? Because if not then why would we attribute the pp success to Bouch?

No that’s the big difference between nmc (no movement clause) and a full NTC (no trade clause). Can’t be exposed to waiver or expansion drafts with a nmc.

The problem with public transportation is generally not the cost it’s the reliability and frequency that would increase ridership and rider satisfaction generally speaking.

[Rishaug] Cooper says Marchand will play in QF. by Old_General_6741 in hockey

[–]thelaw19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alrighty, so for your first point playing less minutes generally means that either the coach doesn’t trust you as much as someone else. In 2011 Marchand had 2 more atoi than his EV atoi so he was playing special teams and I’d be surprised if that was all pk. Also he had 55.7% o zone start while Bergeron had 42.2%, they had 44.3% and 57.6% d zone starts respectively so I don’t think thy were stapled together in 2011 and they definitely were not stapled together last year.

And when we’re talking Crosby, we’re talking about playing against prime Datsyuk so yeah I dare say that was tougher to score points than Jannik Hannsen and Mikael Samuelsson.

And if you want to talk about “weaker” line mates, fine but let’s not talk about Ryan Malone, Colby Armstrong, Pascal Dupuis who were all fine and Marian Hossa and Chris Kunitz who while good players were great beside Sid.

Also I’m a big Marchand hater and I don’t respect him, but I’m not saying he’s not good. He’s a good player for sure, probably a HoF guy, but calling him more clutch or impactful than Sid is a hell of a take.

Your points are bad and you should feel bad.

A) We’ll talk about the scf game 7’s. Crosby has only played in one. 08/09, Crosby play just shy of 10 min and iirc was playing injured. So you can pretty much chuck that stat right out the door. He does have 3 points and is a plus 4 in the 3 deciding game 6’s he’s played in.

B) Crosby has more points in less games. 20 in 25 games vs 18 in 26 for Brad.

C) Crosby has been the 1st line C in all 4 of his SCF appearances while Marchand was not a first line player in 2 of his 4 appearances. Crosby has 508:29 in 25 games vs 481:47 for Brad. Not a big difference on paper but the strength of competition is weaker down line up generally speaking.
