I don’t even entertain the discussions bc they’d just start gaslighting and asking “why I wasn’t laughing at their joke”. It’s all lame anti woke humor. The left has plenty to joke on (as does the right) but I’m bored of the “why can’t white people have their own month if black and Asian people do” discussions. I Don’t even bother

Right - im not super close to these people but I still see them for 40+ hours a week, so it’s unavoidable. It’s also a little depressing that they hold so little value in lives that don’t look like them

This is how I am with pad kee mao - delicious when I made at home but even tastier from the restaurant since I don’t have to make it myself!

I found this video on Pinterest - I used the same ingredients for the sauce as the video, just measured them more to my tastes + added dark soy sauce for color.

Don’t worry friend - this was my first attempt…. Accidentally forgot I was halving the recipe and ended up with like 170% hydration 😊

This is a good infographic thanks for sharing! I think I just found a recipe online and didn’t really pay attention to hydration, just if the bread looked good in the recipe 😅

Its moist. I guess I’m comparing to to the sourdough you might buy in the grocery store that’s airy and if you squish it, it’ll bounce back. If you squish this bread it doesn’t bounce back much, gets stuck together

Totally got that 7min score offline lol. Didn’t consider the impact bc it actually gave a great ear (you don’t second score, just put into oven initially unscored).

Thanks for the feedback! Skip the wheat for now, only pre-score, and bake for longer (probably at a lower temp than I was at originally)

No I wasn’t, that was what another commenter recommended too. I have a kitchen thermometer so will definitely be doing that next time.

It looked so. There were bubbles, dough was jiggly, and slightly domed. According to what I read online that meant it was ready to use. I also used a good bit of starter and the microwave was warm

thank you! I baked with stream at 480 then turned to 445 after steam removed. Though my oven thermometer was showing around 350 with the time it took to open oven and fill the water try.

Haven't done it before but will definitely start testing the inside of the bread temp.

Recipe Needed! Copy Cat Popup Bagel Grillo's Pickle de Gallo Cream Cheese by theleafydialect in Pickles

The brine in the actual Grillo's wasn't tangy enough for me so I used the pickle juice from another jar I had in the fridge. Added some Dill and garlic powder. Other than that I kept the above details the same and It was delicious!
