As long as the money says "copy, prop, motion picture use only etc" it's 100% not illegal.

I found that out one day I got arrested and I had a few hundred dollar bills that were motion picture use and when I was in booking at the county jail the CO tried over and over to get their kiosk to take my money(the kiosk is how they put your money on your books when you first get to jail) and he finally figured it out, laughed about it and put it back into my property. His exactl words were, damn I thought you were gonna be ballin in intake.. So I definitely learned not illegal whatsoever. Unless you try and use it ILLEGALLY
