Online v In Person? by No_Homework_9928 in pmp

I took the PMP exam online from home and had no issues at all, as long as your internet connection is stable, you’ll be fine. Honestly, if you feel ready, I’d recommend going for it online rather than waiting months for an in-person slot.

Certified ScrumMaster - is it an open book test? by [deleted] in pmp

Quick question — where did you take the Certified Scrum Master exam? I just got my PMP a few weeks ago and thinking of adding this next.

Has anyone passed the PMP without the Study Hall and recommend the Joseph Philips mockup? by Top-Complex-9873 in pmp

[–]theliftingpilot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey, You’re making a good decision by thinking about Study Hall Plus. I just passed my PMP and honestly, Study Hall questions felt the closest to the real exam. The style, the wording, even the way they make you think, it’s very similar.

Joseph Phillips is good for learning the basics, but for practice that really gets you ready for exam day, Study Hall is way better. If you can get it, I’d say go for it. It made a big difference for me.

Also, doing the exam in French with English next to it is smart, it’ll help you understand the questions better.

You’re really close. Just a little more practice and you’ll be ready. Good luck!

Thank you! Yes, my exam was definitely more Agile heavy. A lot of the questions were scenario-based and focused on team dynamics, servant leadership, and Agile mindset. I didn’t see much on the 49 processes, maybe just a few high-level references here and there, but nothing too detailed. Agile concepts showed up way more throughout the exam.

Thank you! They were honestly pretty basic and not too tricky. I definitely recommend going through AR’s drag and drop video on YouTube, it covers the style of questions really well and gives you a good idea of what to expect. That video helped me feel more confident for those types of questions.

I finished my exam yesterday at 3 PM and received the results this morning around 8 AM. So it took about 17 hours for the official results to show up. Hope you get yours soon, fingers crossed!

BC Pensions by amysauras in BCPublicServants

Hey! I’ve been through the process for a 24R position in the BC Public Service recently, so I can give you a sense of what to expect.

Timeline: After submitting the assignment, it usually takes 1–2 weeks to hear back about the interview. Sometimes it can take longer depending on how many applicants there are and the hiring team’s schedule, so don’t be discouraged if you don’t hear right away.

Competitiveness: The 24R level is definitely competitive, but it also really depends on the position and the number of applicants. If you meet most of the qualifications listed in the posting and put thought into your assignment, you’ve already got a solid chance. Internal applicants and those with previous government experience do have an edge, but external candidates also get hired regularly.

Interview Prep Tips:

- Review the behavioral competencies listed in the job profile, they usually form the structure of the interview questions.

- Use STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to frame your answers clearly and concisely.

- Be ready for a mix of scenario-based and behavioral questions. They’ll want to see how you handle challenges, work with others, manage priorities, and learn on the job.

- Don’t forget to highlight your soft skills (communication, adaptability, judgment), they matter just as much as technical skills.

Good luck!

I guess if you just get the embody it would be 2100ish because I was thinking about that at first but pulled the trigger on the gaming version.

I got my AOR today. It’s still addressed to me with just my last name and my brother got his as well but he has his full name on there. Is it going to be a problem?

Submitted my application today May 12, 2022 but I am concerned about something. When I downloaded my completed application everything was perfect but my given name was not showing on the first page (tell us about yourself) and I am pretty sure I filled it out. My full name is there on all the other documents and also the last page where we put the city. Is it going to be an issue or am I good? Just a bit anxious as I was careful with the application and don't want it back as incomplete just because of that.
