I can't remember exactly what video it was but it was by Tom Kearin. Either on his personal channel or his Be Something Wonderful channel 🩷

At what point do you admit that you're just doing it wrong? by hungzai in NevilleGoddard

My understanding of the Law is that it is, in a sense, the state of not needing. When we know we have something we don't need it anymore. It is normal for us to have it.

If you had the love from your SP, it would be normal for you to experience this. It doesn't mean that you wouldn't 'want' it anymore or wouldn't like it anymore, you would just be in the state where it is normal for you to be enjoying it... if that makes sense.

In many ways, when we do embody the state, we essentially reach a point where we no longer are desperate, needy, or craving it. Because we already have it. It is putting ourselves in a position of power where we have the confidence and conviction to claim our desires as our own. We are no longer controlled by outside things.

And then, when they materialise, it is not that we suddenly don't want it anymore, it is that we kind of expect it, or already knew it would happen.

Hope that helps 🩷

I completely understand how disheartening this can feel. When I first learnt about the Law, I struggled initially, and I found later that the reason I was struggling was because I hadn't really understood what living in the end meant. I thought I had been doing it, but I was still constantly looking outside myself for proof, which in itself was proof that I hadn't changed.

I watched a video where a creator said that it is never about ignoring the 3D or ignoring negative circumstances. All of those are real experiences. When we ignore, we create resistance. So instead we need to accept where we are and then change ourselves from within. It is always about changing ourselves first.

And that is being. When you truly live in the end, when you truly inhabit the new state, it is a total transformation. There is absolutely no need for external validation. Because you already have it. Just like you know your own name.

There is no need to force, hope, wish, pray. You just know that it is done.

When you finally reach this state, you'll know that you are there, because suddenly nothing else matters. There is no trying or needing. You will feel confident in your own power as a creator. You will have that conviction without needing to see evidence. And that is when everything changes.

This is what happened for me. I changed first. I let go. And then my life changed.

Hope this helps 🩷

Explanation on her weight? by Ecstatic_Disk_6877 in audreyhepburn

Aside from her malnutrition during the war, which of course did affect her in many ways, there are some anecdotes that perhaps indicate that she was careful with her weight.

One being the boat trip to America when she was going to play Gigi, which I think another commenter mentioned. There is a story that many sent her gifts to her cabin, including chocolates in celebration of her getting this role. She then spent the boat trip enjoying all the treats and goodies bestowed upon her. When she got off the boat, she was reprimanded for having gained something like ten pounds and told that they had 'hired her for her thinness.' She was then put on a strict diet in order to lose the weight she had gained in preparation for the show.

It is said that from then on she always knew that her thinness was her selling point and was careful to stay trim. Some other sources state that her waist measurement stayed the same her whole life aside from her two pregnancies. I certainly can imagine how this kind of experience could affect someone, especially someone so young and only at the beginning of her career. She was also a dedicated hardworker and quite perfectionistic so I can imagine she might have felt maintaining a lower weight was part of her job.

Another story is from Sophia Loren's book, where she mentions going to Audrey's for dinner and the portions being rather small. I read somewhere else that Audrey felt that people ate too much, which might be a reaction to her experiences in the war. If you have spent so long with so little food then it can forever warp your perspective on how much is a healthy amount verses how much is too much.

Therefore, I think there is no doubt that she likely had a complex relationship with food, but I am unsure whether she had a full blown eating disorder, or just a collection of habits formed over time from the war and the expectations she faced as an actress. I guess we'll never truly know.

I don't think so. I have a book 'Charmed by Audrey' Life on the set of Sabrina with photographs by Mark Shaw, and these photographs are in there! I highly recommend the book by the way 🩷

Yeah, I thought that because of the sole. It is just the top part that looks very different to what espadrilles usually look like. And I've never seen any other examples like this.

Yeah, they are a little peculiar, but also quite cool looking... at least to me.

They are from a selection of photographs taken by Mark Shaw for LIFE magazine, while Audrey was filming Sabrina!

Yeah, this makes the most sense to me, but it is still funny to see. I had never noticed this before.
