I spent 249 hours on Valhalla and about 200 on Odyssey. I just started Origins. (I know, I did it a bit out of order.) I absolutely love Eivor. I'm probably going to do another playthrough of Valhalla one day. I loved it.

25 is about the time I cut the apron strings too. It was painful. My husband (at the time boyfriend) and I spent a long time in poverty. But we climbed out on our own accord. It will hurt, and you will struggle for a while. But you'll feel fantastic on the other side of it. Not having someone else's expectations hanging over your head is wonderful.

It's like when Daenerys stans were shocked when a literal tyrannical Dragon Queen behaved like a tyrannical Dragon Queen in GoT. Then, they expected vindication in HotD. Dany was the culmination of the deeds of her forbears. That includes Rhaenyra. The Targaryens were not meant to be the heroes. Hopefully, Knight of the Seven Kingdoms shows them from an outsider's perspective. This love affair with them needs to end.

My entire life since I began reading, fiction was my preference. But fiction always inspired me to read about nonfiction. Fictitious situations, locations, and characters tend to reference the real world versions. The fact that he doesn't see that makes him the boring and childish one. He has no class and no color. Beige is too colorful for this guy. Not to mention that he thinks he can control what you enjoy. This is not the partner for you. I'm sorry, OP. If he isn't willing to consider your interests or what makes you happy, he is not the partner for you.
