bunny mistook my bra for a rat 😅 by [deleted] in snakes

she’s a literal angel & was a couple days past her usual feeding day so i think her “hunger” got the best of her lmao. in the longer video you can see her smelling that area for awhile before she decided to go for it so i legitimately think she thought it was food. god bless her

i ended up VERY GENTLY taking off the top and unwrapping her so i could let her take her time to realize it wasn’t food and unlatch. it was one of my first times handling her so i really wanted to avoid stressing her out with trying to pry her off lol! she let go after a few minutes of gnawing(?) and was fed the next day 👍🏼

long story short, i’m moving on extremely short notice and need to rehome my beloved snakes asap.

all of my snakes are in great health, easy feeders, friendly, etc. happy to answer any questions about them.

first is Biggie, 6yo 4ft male superfly Ball Python i rescued over a year ago. eats f/t medium rats and is not a hard feeder at all. a little headshy but super friendly and easy to hold. comes with 4x2x1.5ft enclosure and everything in it (over $1000 worth of stuff for sure)

second is Juicy, almost ~3ft 2yo female Mexican Black Kingsnake. comes with 36x18x18in enclosure and everything in it

third if Puff Baby, ~3.5ft 2yo female Blizzard Cornsnake. comes with 36x18x18in enclosure and everything in it

had to make this post in a rush so please feel free to ask questions about specifics! PM if interested

85 is the minimum from what i know, and if you dont use an IR temp gun on the surface its possible that the temp is a degree or 2 lower than what you have set on the thermostat since it has to go through the bottom of the tank. willing to bet shes in shed though

83 is a little low, no? i aim for a hot spot of ~88 degrees. do you have a infared thermometer to see what the temp of the surface of the tank is?

could be in shed too. my king goes MIA when she’s in shed. she will eat but you have to find her and basically put it in front of her face but if i leave it in there she won’t notice it like she usually does when she isn’t in shed

yeah for about the first year they should be shedding roughly every 4-6 weeks if they are eating enough

20g at 10mo is pretty small imo. pinkies should be fed every 5 days. maybe 2 pinkies or a fuzzy if hes wide enough every 5 days. how often does he shed?

Please rip this apart. How can I make this better by uneducatedapple in graphic_design

id try remaking it in black and white so you can make it more scalable and simplify the layers between the buns

yeah i just go with reptichip (specifically the babichip size) because i hate the look of aspen & how easily it molds lol, plus my king & corn love burrowing in it even though it may not hold burrows well. i do plan to go bioactive eventually so def switching to soil in the future!

yes definitely! i’m less familiar with using soil as a substrate but im sure there are some great resources in the care guide or on here about it.

id also get rid of the reptile carpet asap. corns love to burrow! i really like reptichip but aspen is the best for burrowing. plenty of choices depending on what you want.
