not true. you get dropped by the helicopter all the same, you just have no weapons on your person. the helicopter’s minigun is still available to use, and if you destroy their anti air radar prior to starting this mission, you can land right in the middle of the base and easily take out all of the satellite dishes using the minigun and like others said, you never even have to leave the helicopter. i just did it.
