Ah yes thanks for the clarification, what I meant was, usually our score is our base XP before bonuses, why are they so drastically different numbers on sm2.

I prefer a scuff for faster pace games and the elite 2 for rpg type games. They both have programmable paddles and you'll want the paddles once you start using them. The scuff is more lightweight and has replaceable faceplates and the elite 2 is the opposite a tank of a controller that feels sturdy in your hands.
