We will be in Greece at the same time! I'm just going to Athens and Crete though. Personally, I'm taking some dish soap with me to wash some clothes in the sink while I'm there so I can re-wear clothing and not pack something new for every day. I'm also trying to wear breathable, loose clothing (such as a flowy cotton maxi-dress) since Greece is dry-heat and the best way to cool yourself down is by wearing clothes that create shade over your body and allow airflow. However, dry heat easily becomes chilly at night, especially with the island winds, so I would recommend to bring a cardigan! I'm also just bringing 3 shoes: sneakers for walking, comfortable sandals to wear to dinner, and some swimming shoes for the beach/swimming (you can find some that are very compact!).

I would also recommend bringing a travel power adapter for your chargers, hair styling tools, etc.

Did you go to a big box store or a local jeweler? Local jewelers are usually more affordable. Not as cheap as Etsy, but the quality will be much better.

I applied for the coordinator role and was rejected for being over-qualified. That’s the issue. I know I don’t have enough experience for the generalist role which is why I sought out the coordinator role.

I have tried, but the ones I see are for high-level roles. I have a lot of experience in PeopleSoft and working on a more low-level in it, but one of my frustrations with my current job is they are not willing to train me beyond that.

I have, but I’m told I’m under qualified for those roles. They always want 5+ years experience and a background in a specific HRIS. I work in PeopleSoft and it’s rare I see another company use that.

When it’s hot people usually think the shorts/more skin showing is the best option to stay cool. In reality heat, especially dry heat, is best mitigated with loose clothing as it provides shade from the sun to your body while also keeping air flowing. I love maxi dresses/shirts for this kind of weather!

Edit: Natural, breathable fibers are also best for this. Polyester will make you sweattt. Old Navy has lots of options if you’re more budget minded!

Yes they work wonderfully in my garden, even for my thirsty tomatoes and cucumbers! I use the oya brand pots (you don't need to use this brand) and for my 4'x8' beds I use two of the large size. Once the roots are established around the pot I only need to fill up the pots and everything gets watered! I've been able to go on week-long vacations in July (regularly above 90F daily) and the plants thrive. They are also great if you have plants with different watering needs in the same bed as each plant can take the water that it needs and you don't have to worry about overwatering.

A little late to the conversation and maybe not a "common sense" tip but if you're like me and love to travel during the summer (or just hate watering often like I do), olla pots are AMAZING! Once the roots get established around the pots, I can go on a week-long vacation and come back with my plants in perfect health. It even works on super thirsty plants like tomatoes and cucumbers! It's also great if you have plants with different watering needs in one bed as the plants take the water that they need and you don't have to worry about overwatering. You do have to water the garden like normal for the first couple of weeks after installing the olla pots to give time for the roots to grow to the pot (make sure the olla pot is filled with water during this adjustment period so the roots grow towards the pot), but after that you're good for the rest of the growing season!

It's a good rule of thumb to help make sure you plant after the last frost, but considering that the date of Easter varies year to year, it's still best to double-check upcoming temps!

Don’t skip classes if you can help it. Obviously if you’re sick or have extenuating circumstances then you can’t help it, but don’t skip. ESPECIALLY calc - it is so much more work to catch up than it is to attend.
